HOW DO I COVER MY HOME AS A WIFE AS LONG AS MY HUSBAND IS UNREPENTANT? WHY DOES IT SEEM DIFFICULT TO RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT? Read Transcript

- All right it's time for your (claps)--

- Let's go for it.- Hot seat questions.

- All right.

- [Woman] Tasha says,

"Can a cheating husband openthe home up to demonic attack?

How do I pray for my homewhen the head is out of order?

How do I cover my home as a wife

as long as my husband is unrepentant?

(air whooshing)

- Boy that's a tough question.

But let me answer the first part of it.

The husband is the head of the household,

he's the high priest of the family.

And as such he is the one

that's supposed to offerintercession and prayers

for the family.

Now if he loses hisposition as high priest,

the family could be subjectto all kinds of demonic attack

absolutely,

because he is the official responsible

for that family.

Now does that mean

because your husband is getting around

that you'll have demons,no I'm not saying that

but you asked me if it could be possible

the answer is yes.

And what's the secondpart(laughs) of the question?

- How do I cover my home as a wife

as long as my husband is unrepentant?

- Well, you could pray you know,

godly women have had ungodlyhusbands through the years.

And because of their godly behavior

maybe their husband will come to the Lord

but you take care of your personal life

and let the Lord worry aboutyour husband. All right.

- [Woman] Amen. Sue Whiteson,

"My husband passed awayabout four months ago.

My daughter and her family live with me.

I lost one third of myincome when my husband died.

My daughter and her spouse both work

but neither of them offerto help me out with bills.

And because of my health

I can't drive and I have severalspecialists I need to see,

but they say they're too busy to take me.

What should I do?

- I think that kick 'emout that's for starters.

That's horrible.

- [Woman] Horrible isn't it?

- It's horrible.

I mean the mother hasraised these children.

They're freeloading on her

and yet they won't lifta finger to help her.

You know the bible says,

"If anybody will notwork, let them not eat."

I mean throw them out.

- [Woman] Yep. Amen.

- Say, "You know dear Ilove you but you're out.

You get your own house and ifyou can't support this family

I'm sure not going to support you."

I know that sounds harshbut that's biblical.

If any man will not work, let him not eat.

- And then she could hire someone

to help her go here and there--

- All kinds of things but of course.

Absolutely.- [Woman] Okay,

Tanya or Tanna says,

"I have been raising mygranddaughter since May 2012

when her mother dropped her off to my job

with one basket of clothesat the age of four.

I got married four years later

but my husband doesn't wantto raise other people's kids.

I love my granddaughter

and I love having her with me.

One of her parents doesn't want her

and the other is a drug addict.

My husband is making it hard for us

and now he and I are distant.

He knew I was raisingher when he married me.

Any advice for me?

- (laughs)

You're asking me some hard questions.

(laughs)

Is there any advice?

You know you love your granddaughter

and you want to help her.

And you feel drawn to her.

What would be the consequenceif you didn't take her in?

She'd become a war to the state,

she'd be in foster care

she'd be kicked around,

she may be sexually abused.

So the answer is tell your husband

look I love you

and I have an obligation to you

but please work with us on this one.

If you need to have a councilor

or somebody to come inand talk to both of you

you need that.

But your husband has got to understand

what will happen to thatchild if you abandon her.

That's the big thing and heneeds to recognize the fact

that yeah I don't wannaraise somebody else's kid

yeah I understand that buthaving a little child in the home

is a joy and you shouldregard it as such. All right.

- [Woman] Amen.

Linda says, "Is it wrong forChristians to practice yoga.

I have scoliosis and havebeen taking a Hatha yoga class

three mornings a week.

It has done wonders

for my back and overall health.

It is only an exercise class for me

and I leave before theritual they do at the end.

What do you think?

- Look stretching exercises are cool

I mean why not do stretching.

And that's what some parts of yoga are,

they're stretching.

And you loosen your muscles,

you stretched and as youstretched you gain strength.

That's the good part.

The bad part is thatyou've to to say something

and without realizing you'retalking to a Hindu god

and you're worshiping false gods

as part of the ceremony

and you don't even know what the words are

because their in Sanscripture,

you're speaking another language.

But that part of it is wrongand it'll get you involved

and there are cults thatyou don't wanna believe

so why can't you just stretch at home

get a total gym they've got allkinds of wonderful exercises

that you know they call it Pilates

and you can do Pilates withoutdoing yoga.(laughs)All right.

- Amen. I know I wish Icould do the the stretches

but you know like you saidPilates and other things.

- Oh, absolutely why gothrough all that mantra

and you've got to say all those words

and you don't understand what they are

but you're speaking it Hindu

you're speaking in Sanskriptor Hindi or some language

and you're--- It's not worth it.

- And you're worshiping aforeign god. All right well.

- [Woman] All right Myra says,

"Why does it seem difficultto receive the Holy Spirit?

Am I not trying hard enough?"

- Just the opposite,

you know

if what you're talkingabout is speaking in tongues

and you know its very hard

to speak two languages at the same time.

So if you're always saying,

"Oh God bless me bless me

bless me bless me bless me."

Then you are shuttingoff the power of God.

Why don't you just relaxand let the Lord take over,

and just begin to worship Him

and quietly let the HolySpirit come into your life.

And from that the Lord willdo miracles in your life,

just relax and stop stopasking, stop striving,

just relax and let the Lord have His way.

All right

- [Woman] Amen, this viewer writes in

why are so many

of my girlfriends and Itormented by fear in traffic?

We are followers of Christ.

It causes me greatdistress and oppression,

and I have to pray in Jesus' name

declaring His promiseswhen I am in heavy traffic.

In my case this has goneon for more than 10 years.

- (laughs)

I think the answer isof course in driver Ed,

I think you don't know how to drive

and you're scared of youdriving the car wrong.

I think you know you oughtabe scared in traffic.

You want to hear a wonderful time

my wife and I were comingdown from New Hampshire

in an RV and she'd neverdriven one in her life

and we were driving in heavytraffic going to New York City

and she was driving the RV--

- [Woman] Oh wow.

- And the cars werewhizzing by on either side.

And we get on the New Jersey parkway

and she just was a champ doing it

(soft instrumental)

so I just think you need driver education

that's what you're talkingabout rather than deliverance--

(woman laughs)- Maybe I'm hard (laughs)--
