COULD YOU TELL ME MORE ABOUT 501C3? I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO START FASTING. ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE, SATURDAY IS THE SABBATH, SO WHY ARE WE INSTRUCTED TO GO TO CHURCH ON SUNDAY? Read Transcript

- Let's start with some answersto these honest questions.

(both chuckling)

Pat, this is from B.J., who says,

"Pat, could you tell memore about 501(c)(3)?

"What is it, and did PresidentTrump do away with it yet?"

- Well, that's a paragraphin the internal revenue code.

It's 501, parenthesis, C, parenthesis, 3,

and it is the tax exempt law

having to do withnon-profit organizations,

and because you qualify under 501(c)(3),

and when you have that designation,

then, of course, there are alot of privileges you have,

and as far as I know,

President Trump did not do away with it.

It's a very valuable thing,

and of course, there are just thousands

and thousands of non-profits and charities

that are classified under 501(c)(3).

That's all it is.

It nothin' complicated, but it's just,

it's a nice thing to have. (chuckles)

- Yes, very.

Well, Pat, this is a viewer who says,

"Dear Pat, I'd like toknow how to start fasting.

"Do you start out by not eatinganything for an entire day

"and just drink water and juice?

"I've never done a fast,

"so I would like to knowhow to get started."

- Well, there are a whole lotof different kind of fasts.

There was one in the Bible,

what's called a Daniel fast.

He didn't drink any strong drink,

he didn't eat any meat,

and he didn't have any desert,

and that was one kind of fast,

but I think there're people talking now

about the benefits of fasting,

where what, essentially, you're doing is drinking water,

and you're doing itfor maybe a half a day,

or a day, or two days,

and it's a cleansing thing,

and people are advocating it,

because it seems to prolonglife and make you healthy.

But there's so manydifferent kinds of fasts,

but it isn't easy, trust me. (chuckles)

So, I think if you drink coffee or tea,

I think I'd stay with it,

because you can get terrible headaches

if you go cold turkey.

Yeah, all right.- Yeah, exactly.

Well, this is Melvin, who says,

"According to the Bible,Saturday is the sabbath,

"so why are we instructedto go to church on Sunday?"

- Well, the Bible says onthe first day of the week,

the disciples came together, and the first day of the week,

of course, was Sunday instead of Saturday.

The sabbath was Saturdayfor the Jewish people,

and the Christians have observed Sunday.

It's interesting, theMuslims observe Friday,

the Jews observe Saturday,

- [Both] And theChristians observe Sunday.

- So, we got three days,

but it's only account of the resurrection,

on the first day of the week,

is when it was celebrated, because of that.

All right?

- This is Lisa, who says,

"I have been divorced for 15 years

"and haven't dated since then,

"but now I've become friends with a man

"that I've fallen in love with.

"I feel he is the desire of my heart.

"God's word says He will giveus the desires of our heart

"because we delight in Him.

"Is it okay for me to pray

"that this man will be my husband?"

- Well, there's nothing in the world wrong

with praying for such a thing as that.

Keep one thing in mind, the Bible says,

"Don't be unequally yokewith an unbeliever."

If this wonderful man you thinkis the desire of your heart,

make sure that he knows the Lord,

because if you yoke up with him,

you, as a wife, will besubmissive to this husband,

and he's got to love youas Christ loved the church,

and if he doesn't know the Lord,

that love may not be there,

and you can have all kinds of problems.

So, please do a little investigation.

I know you've been waiting, and waiting, and waiting,

but rather than being led by your heart,

for this one, also be led byyour mind, if you don't mind,

I think it'll make lifea whole lot easier.

- Yes.- All right.

- Okay, this is Jason.

Jason says, "I'm 30 and live with my mom.

"My mom divorced my dad,

"and he legally is requiredto pay my mom until 2021.

"My mom and I are barely making ends meet.

"My dad lives in a townhousein a golf community.

"He is gay, cheated on my mom,

"verbally, mentally, andemotionally abused my mom and me.

"He lives off 50% more

"than my mom and I combined each month.

"He claims he doesn'thave any food in the house

"and asks us for money every month.

"I know for a fact he uses meth.

"I'm afraid to be around him.

"What can my mom and I do thatis the Christian thing to do

"without putting our lives in danger?

"He won't admit he's using meth."

- Look, the laws are there.

It's not a bad thing to askfor appropriate restitution

and maintenance for a mother

and a child from somebody, and after a divorce,

I just recommend getting agood family practice lawyer

and see if you can't get this gentleman.

He's obviously playing games with the law

and trying to cheat you and your mother

out of what ought to bepart of your sustenance.

So, there's nothingunchristian about the fact

that laws are there to helppeople just like you, all right?

- Do you think they haveto be afraid of the fact

that he is on meth and mayfeel retaliative about?

- Oh, that's just a bluff.

Meth is meth.

I wouldn't worry about that,

and you can also get arestraining order on him.

If you're afraid of violence,

you can go to court and say,

"I ask for a restraining order,"

but usually, they'll wait forsome overt sign of violence

before they'll take someactions to support you.

All right.

- This is Brittany, who says,

"Pat, Ezekiel 38 talks abouta place in the far north

"declaring war on the nation of Israel.

"Do you believe the area Gog,as mentioned in this chapter,

"to be present-day Russia?"

- No, I don't.

I think there's something called rosh,

but rosh means head in Hebrew.

It doesn't mean Russia, and Ithink they were talking about

the Caucasian region thatmaybe is in southern Russia,

but also, Gog is primarily in Turkey.

If looking in so much of the Bible,

you'll find that Turkeywas the center of it,

and so it's very, very important.

All right, one last question.

- Well, this is Allen, who says,

"Pat, we're taught Jesus diedfor the sins of all mankind,

"but with the world in the state it is,

"and since humans didn'tlearn the first time around,

"do you think Jesus died in vain?"

- Oh, that's ridiculous.

I'm a living testimony.

I mean, God's blessingssaved me and saved Terry,

and we are so gratefulthat He's done that,

and literally, Christianity is the largest

religious group in the world,

and you talk about Islamgrowing fast and so forth.

Well, we've been growing pretty fast too,

but the largest in the world,to say Jesus died in vain,

where you've got millions and millions

of people who are His disciples?
