Welcome to the show.

Earlier this month Hurricane Florence

devastated the Atlantic Coast

causing wind damage andwidespread flooding.

While Congress considersnearly two Billion dollars

in Federal aid for the Carolinas,

CBN's Operation Blessingwas already on the ground.

- I Lumberton, NorthCarolina, Operation Blessing

volunteers were blessed by Chick-Fil-A

who kept them fueled for the long days.

Take a look.

- [Narrator] Operation Blessingdisaster relief volunteers

are helping families across North Carolina

get back on their feet bycutting away storm debris,

gutting out flooded homes,

delivering hot meals,

and providing a human connectionin these difficult times.

We want to that Chick-Fil-A in Lumberton

for partnering with usto keep our volunteers

fed and fueled as they worked to get

North Carolina back on its feet.

- Thank you Chick-Fil-A!

- Woo!

- Thanks to chick-Fil-A.

That's wonderful that youhelped feed the volunteers.

- This is one of those issues in life

where it takes a village.

Everybody's gotta come in.

- Everybody's gotta pitch in.

- Both hands, yes.

Well, speaking of a Chick-Fil-A blessing,

Mr. Steve is a regular at theOldsmar, Florida location.

However, after suffering a fall,

he now only attends once a week.

That didn't stop him fromshowing up on his 100th birthday

where he received quite a surprise

from Chick-Fil-A management.

- Mr. Steve, we wantedto give you Chick-Fil-A

for the rest of your life.

So, no more 50% off, you're getting free.

- I come here to Chick-Fil-A free?

- Yup. Anytime you want.

- That is the best gift Ican ever receive. (laughing)

I can't believe it.

- [Interviewer] You're gonnalive another hundred years.

- Instead of coming once aweek now I'm coming everyday!

I'm coming everyday. (laughing)

(laughing)

- Put a lift in your step.

- It makes you want to strive for

that centennial celebration, doesn't it?

- Well, you're never too old to be blessed

or to be a blessing.

93 year old Bob Williams has one mission,

to put a smile on thefaces of everyone he meets.

What better way to do thatthan with a candy bar.

Take a look.

- It doesn't matter if he knows you,

or if you're a stranger,

everybody feels specialwhen they get chocolate.

- Thank you, Bob.

- It's just amazing the peoplehe has connections with.

- It just makes me feel good.

- He's teaching all ofus how to pay it forward.

- I don't think he realizes the affect

that he has on people.

- It's the little things in life

that make a big difference.

A lot of people can take lessons from him.

- I don't have any complaints.

I'm way ahead of the game.

Way ahead of the game.

- First Chick-Fil-A for life,

and now we have candy bars for life.

- That's my life dream toopen up my refrigerator

and see Hershey's oneverything that's in there.

(laughing)

- Not a good diet for you though.

- I know, but it's still my life dream.

- Where's the fruits, where's the veggies?

You have to have balance- Behind the Hershey's.

- Not just coffee and chocolate.

- It is a good combo, though.

- It is.

Well, some Oklahoma middle school students

are being praised fordoing the right thing.

Earlier this monththree seventh grade boys

were playing basketball beforethe start of the school day

and that's when one ofthem found some cash

under an orange juice carton.

- Three hundred dollars cash to be exact.

Instead of keeping the money

they turned it in to the principal.

Turns out the man had droppedthe money the day before

while walking his dog.

He contacted the schooland was shocked to learn

his money was safe and sound.

- He was just very surprised

that his money was found,

and that these boys did this.

- Honesty pays off.

- It feels good.

- Because we did the right thing.

- Well, the owner gave each of the boys

a $25 Amazon gift card for their honesty.

I'm telling you this story gave me

renewed hope for the future

because I thought theycould've kept that money

and no one would've ever known.

- They would've known.

- Just did the right thing.

- And now they've done the right thing

and they were rewarded for that.

- Worthy of applause.

- It's wonderful.

Well, here's an update on a story

we brought you back in July.

20 year old Walter's car broke down

the night before his first day on the job,

so he walked 20 miles just to get there.

His boss was so movedby Walter's dedication,

he donated a car to him.

- Walter was also therecipient of 90 thousand,

that's right, 90 thousand dollars

raised through crowdfunding topay for his college tuition.

He decided to use 67 thousandfor college and savings

and pay the rest forward,

donating 25 thousand dollars to the

Birmingham Education Foundation.

He told MSN News,

"67 thousand is good enoughfor a 20 year old like me,

"so I was like I want to help people,

"I want to give back.

"This is just a blessing from the Lord."

- That is great.- Unbelievable

- Here's an update,

Walter is now speakingat schools and churches

and he's encouragingchildren to never give up.

- What an awesome thing tosee how God provided for him,

and then he turned around--

- You just love that.

Let's start a whole chain.

You help somebody else andthey help somebody else.

Before long we'll have a happy world.

- Exactly.

Well, up next, a mom worries about

her daughter's pigeon toes.

- Worried for her self esteemand her self confidence.

I worried that she might be embarrassed

of how her feet were turned in.

- [Terry] See how thismother's prayer of faith

leads to a miracle.

- Wow, that's so exciting. Can't wait.

Absolutely.

Elizabeth had a tough timerunning without falling.

The two year old was severely pigeon toed,

and her mother often worried what that

would mean for her daughter's future.

- [Narrator] Two yearold Elizabeth Trangert

loves to run and play outside,

but a year ago, Melissa,Elizabeth's mother,

noticed she wasn't walking normally.

- She was very pigeon toed to the point

where her one foot was almost entirely

perpendicular to the other foot.

- [Narrator] Melissa made an appointment

to see her pediatrician.

- He had told me that whatactually caused this to occur

is that whenever she would sit,

she would often sit in a W position.

He had assured me that thisis actually not anything

out of the ordinary.

- [Narrator] But after six months,

Elizabeth's condition didn't improve.

So, Melissa made another appointment.

This time with a different doctor.

- The other pediatricianwas in complete agreement

with the first pediatrician.

I thought, 'well, if they both think that

'she's going to be okay,

then I just need to be patient and relax.'

- [Narrator] A couple of months went by.

Melissa still didn't see any improvement

in her daughter's development,

so she became extremely concerned.

- I worried for her selfesteem and her self confidence.

I worried that she would maybeavoid certain activities,

or certain social functionsbecause she might be embarrassed

of how her feet were turned in.

- [Narrator] Melissa beganpraying over her daughter

every night after she gave her a bath.

- As I would put the lotion on her legs,

I would find myself at that time

specifically saying, "Thank you Jesus.

"I know one day you're going to heal

"my daughter's legs."

- [Narrator] One morningwhile watching the 700 Club,

Melissa heard Gordon beginning to pray.

- When two or moreagree touching anything,

it shall be done for them.

We lay hands on that area ofthe body that needs healing.

- So I thought, well it's just me,

but I'll lay my hands on her legs,

and Gordon will be the secondperson to pray with me.

And so I did.

- Be healed and be madewhole in Jesus name.

- Once it was over then I believed that

this prayer would be answered.

- [Narrator] Later that day,

Melissa and her family wereoutside in the backyard

when she noticed somethingdifferent about Elizabeth.

- She was running through the bubbles

trying to catch them and pop them.

I had said to my husband,

do you see that?

And he asked me, "What?"

And I said, "Her feet. Her feetare not turned in any more.

"They're perfectly straight."

He looked and he said,"You're absolutely right."

I was in complete awe.

I believed my prayer would be answered,

but the same day?

The very same day that Isaw this and witnessed it,

it was the most beautiful thing to see her

run through these bubblesas carefree as she was

and just loving them.

- [Narrator] God healedElizabeth's legs that day,

and her condition hasn't returned.

Now, she can run and playas fast as she wants.

- To feel that burdenlifted off of my shoulders.

To have that cross lifted,

and to know that it is true,

God does hear our prayers.

We just have to believeand we have to ask him.

- Even moving bones, God does so much.

He's so able and so willing.

We want you to know that today

as you watch this amazing story

that he knows your need

and he will move on your behalf.

I love watch she said.

I just believed thatGod was going to do it.

- That's the key.

That's all you have to do.

Sounds really simple butfor those who are in need,

particularly when thesymptoms are screaming at you,

to just believe that ithas already been healed.

It's the key to miracles

and Jesus says it in Mark chapter 11,

"When you stand praying,

"believe that you have already received

"and you will have it."

So, here's a mother praying.

She's claiming a versewhen two or more agree

touching anything,

so she says, okay, I'll do that.

Let's pray.

She just believed.

Then, she said let's get on with life,

let's get on with everything.

Then she noticed, wow,it actually happened.

It's because she believed.

Just be simple enough to believe.

Jesus says if you have the faith

of a little child,

you have all the faith that you need.

So, just trust Daddy.

Trust what he says will come true

and it will happen to you.

Let's pray.

Lord, we just lift those inthe audience who need healing.

We come together inagreement now, touching it,

and we claim that where twoor more agree, touching.

So, as people in faith are laying hands

on that area of thebody that needs healing,

we join together with them,

and we say out loud to it,

be healed now in Jesus name,

and be every bit whole.

Now, Lord, we believe it.

We believe that on the cross

by your stripes we are healed.

We receive it now into our bodies

and we declare I am healed.

I thank you for it.

In Jesus name.

There's someone you haveterrible acid reflux

and it's like an entireopening into your esophagus

doesn't close at all,

and so God is just healing and restoring,

he's taking away all of that burning

and everything associated with that.

There's someone else, you'vegot a gallbladder problem too.

You're saying, please say that.

God's healing you.

He's taking all thatpain now in Jesus name.

- I don't know if this is the same person

with the acid reflux,

but somebody has trouble swallowing food,

it's like you can't chewit enough ahead of time.

It's uncomfortable going down.

Set free, you are setfree by the hand of God

today in Jesus name.

- Lord, we thank you.

We thank you for what you've done,

how much you love us,

how much you have set us free.

We thank you for it in Jesus name.

Amen and Amen.

If you need prayer we're here for you.

All you have to do is call us toll free

1-800-700-7000.

Once you pray and once you believe,

then act your belief.

Do want you couldn't do before

and receive what God hasalready provided for you.

Up next, a wife and mother with nothing

but scorn for Christians.

- I looked at people whosaid they were Christians

as being just weak.

I would think, "Wow,they are really messed up

"if they think that there really is a God

"that's going to help them."

- Watch how she makes

a complete turn around after this.

Sheila thought she had the perfect life

with a great marriage and two children.

Then she discovered herhusband was a serial cheater.

Immediately, the fears and insecurities

of her childhood returned

and she was sucked back into

the black hole of her alcoholic home.

- The worst was absolutelyseeing my mom battered

and that's what I lived with,

one day I'm going to come home from school

and one of them are goingto be dead, or both.

- [Narrator] Growing upwith a mom and stepdad

who were violently alcoholic

was terrifying for Sheila Alberstadt.

- I would wake up and find the house

just completely trashed,

and I would always pick up the glass

or furniture upside down.

Everything just seemed to be broken.

Sometimes there'd be bloodon the floor and the walls.

A lot of beer bottles and ashes.

- [Narrator] The regularchaos also left Sheila,

the middle of three sisters,

feeling helpless and insecure.

- Absolutely.

Love and security would be what I needed

and wanted and desired.

- [Narrator] After Sheila'sstepdad died when she was 14,

her mom started takingher anger out on her.

- When my mom would fight with me,

it was mainly just pulling hair,

hitting in the face and biting.

A lot of verbal, emotional,

mainly slapping with backhands.

- [Narrator] Even then shefelt sorry for her mom,

and protected her by lyingto school authorities

when asked about her bruises.

- I knew she loved me,

but I always knew it was the alcohol.

I just wanted so badly forher to be free of that.

- [Narrator] But it wasthe pain no one could see

that hurt Sheila the most.

- I wanted to fit in.

I never fit in when I was a child.

I didn't have a normal life.

I don't think I ever felt confident

about being smart, pretty or

being insecure about my body image.

- [Narrator] In high schoolshe found comfort in food.

But that opened the door to bulimia.

- I realized I have a hole in my soul

and nothing is going to fill that.

So, when I was bulimic,

for a moment the comfort of eating a lot

of food filled that hole.

- [Narrator] Sheila wouldstruggle with bulimia

throughout college and beyond,

where she also drankand smoked pot heavily.

A few years later that all stopped

when she married and became pregnant

with her first of two children.

- I realized at that moment, literally,

the hole was filled.

I assumed it was I needed love

and I had a baby and Ialways wanted my own baby.

My dream of a family was fulfilled.

I was a good mom.

We had a great marriage

and everything was beautifuland perfect in my eyes.

- [Narrator] That was easyto believe for a while

until she had reason to believe

that her husband was being unfaithful.

Sheila was devastated andyears later they divorced.

Before they did, she had ashort lived affair of her own.

- I was seeking love.

I was seeking security.

I was seeking looking forsomebody that would just

allow me to be me.

- [Narrator] Two yearslater Sheila started

seeing another man.

Though still grieving over the divorce,

she married him and they had two children.

Sheila says her husband was a good man,

but she still hadn't foundthe level of happiness

she thought having a family would bring.

It was during thoseyears she met a neighbor

who often invited her to church.

She went once but quicklydecided it wasn't for her.

- I looked at people whosaid they were Christians

as being just weak.

They have to believe insomething that they can't see

in order to make themselves feel better.

I almost felt sorry for them

because I would thinkthey're really messed up

to think that there really is a God

that's going to help them.

- [Narrator] Sheila was about to learn

that she also needed God.

In 2011 her younger sisterwho battled drug addiction

came to live with them.

Trying to fix her sister,

Sheila asked her Christian neighbor,

who was also a nurse, for advice.

The woman invited them to a revival

at her church that night.

- For her to suggest mebringing her to a service

like that and me say okay,

that had to be God.

So, this time I prayed,

please God take away her addictions.

I kept looking at the lights

that were hanging in the convention center

and I prayed and I prayed.

And the next thing I know she is in a

fetal position on the floor

and she's hysterical crying.

The next thing I know,

I'm looking up and justweeping uncontrollably

saying over and over again,

I'm so sorry I never knew you.

I'm thinking that mylittle sister is the one

who needs help.

I saw myself as such a wicked person

who was just cleansed, if you will,

and all that yuck plucked out of me

and the love just poured back into me.

- [Narrator] Sheila saysthat night was the beginning

of her and her sister'srelationship with Christ.

It was also the end of hersearch for love and security.

- I experienced this love.

I felt like someone hadcome inside of my body

and plucked out every root of pain,

of insecurity, ofbitterness, of everything,

and just took and filled me with this love

that I had never experienced.

- [Narrator] Sheila feltconvicted that night

to recommit herself to her marriage.

As she studied the wordin the years since,

she continues to grow in the love

and lasting security found only in Christ.

Now, she loves nothing more than to share

what she's found with others.

- I went into that building

and he literally cleansed me

and that's when I discovered,

that was Jesus I was crying to,

that I'm so sorry I never knew you.

Because you can't get to the father

unless you go through Christ.

- I'm so sorry I never knew you.

Look to him.

I encourage all peopleeverywhere, look to him.

When you look at Christians

you're looking at the wrong thing.

When you're looking ata particular church,

particular denomination,

you're always looking at the wrong thing.

You have to look to him.

He is the author and thefinisher of our faith.

He is the perfect one.

Everybody else has fallenshort of His glory.

We all need that savior.

We all need that forgiveness.

The thing for Sheila, though,

was that she didn't understandshe needed a savior.

She thought she was doing okay,

but you hear her life story

and yes, indeed, she needed a savior.

She just didn't realize it.

When you get into His presence,

when you have that,

when that evil, if you will,is taken away from you,

the things that you've done wrong,

all the bad things are all washed away.

When you have that experience,

well then yes indeed I need a savior.

I need to be in His presence every day.

I need to seek Him with all of my heart,

all of my strength,

everything that's within me.

Now, if you're wonderingjust as Sheila was wondering,

is this real? Is this true?

What convinced sheila will convince you.

What convinced her wasfinally being in His presence

and then saying, "I'msorry I never knew you.

"I didn't know this."

Here's the prayer for you.

Jesus, if you're real,

if you're really there,

all these people talkabout the transformation,

can that really happen for me?

Could you show up for me?

If you pray that with all of your heart

then He'll come,

He'll manifest himself to you.

The Bible promises it,

that He loves you somuch he will leave the 99

just to come for you.

Now, if you want help with this prayer,

all you have to do is call us.

Then number is on the screen 800-700-7000.

Just say I need to know if Jesus is real.

How do I find that out?

How do I have contact with him?

How do I know he is there?

We'd be glad to pray for you.

We'd be glad to come togetherinto agreement with you.

If you need to confess anything,

we're not here to judge you,

we're not here to condemn,

we're here to tell you,

God loves you.

Here's a scripture from 1 John,

"Behold what manner of love the Father

"has bestowed on us,

"that we should be calledthe children of God."

God bless you, we'll see you again.
