Well, Palestinian
president Mahmoud Abbas
was reportedly unhappy
with last week's meeting
with White House
adviser Jared Kushner.
The meeting involved
possible peace talks
between the Palestinians
and Israelis.
The London-based Arabic
newspaper Al-Hayat
reports Abbas was
upset because Kushner
wanted him to condemn a
terrorist attack in Jerusalem.
Kushner, who is President
Trump's son-in-law,
also reportedly raised the
issue of stopping payments
to terrorists and
their families.
One senior Palestinian official
told the Israeli newspaper
Haaretz that the US team
sounded more like an adviser
to Israeli Prime
Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu than a fair arbiter.
Gordon, back to you.
Well, I think this is
refreshing to hear this coming
out of the administration
that they're
going to hold the
Palestinian Authority
responsible for
promoting terrorism.
And that is wonderful news.
We-- as Americans,
we need to understand
just how evil this is.
They celebrate terrorism.
They name streets in their
cities after terrorists.
They name city
squares in Ramallah
after a famous terrorist,
the refrigerator bomber.
He has a whole square
dedicated to him.
The soccer teams in the
Palestinian Authority
compete for prizes that
are named after terrorists.
It's a culture that is
promoting and inciting
violence against Israel.
They have no intention of
creating a viable state
to live alongside Israel.
Their intention, as
it's been all along,
going back to the 1920s, is
to throw all the Jews out
of Palestine, drive
Israel into the sea.
And it's about time we
woke up to that reality.
And I, for one, want to
see the United States stop
the pay-for-slay
program, where our tax
dollars are going to support the
families of these terrorists.
That has to be number
one on the agenda.
If we want to see peace
in the Middle East,
we have to stop the
incitement, and we definitely
have to stop the economic
advantage that these families
enjoy when they
go off and commit
terror attacks within Israel.
So this is all part
of a long history,
and unless you
understand this history,
you won't understand
today's headlines.
And the signature event happened
50 years ago, the 1967 war.
I've got something
for if you want
to know the true history, the
accurate history of the Six-Day
War from the point of view
of the paratroopers who
got to the Temple Mount
and declared to the world
that Temple Mount
is in our hands.
It's "In Our Hands: The
Battle for Jerusalem."
It's a wonderful documentary--
docu-drama about
the Six-Day War.
