THERE WOULD BE NO
SMOKING, NO DRUG-SELLING, NO
DRUG-USING, NO PREMARITAL
SEX.
I'M NOT GOING TONIGHT
CLUBS.
I SAID I'M GOING TO LIVE MY
LIFE 100% TO THE LORD.
Reporter: JEREMY
ANDERSON GRADUATED FROM HIGH
SCHOOL WITH A REPUTATION FOR
BEING A GOOD CHURCH BOY.
BUT JUST BEFORE HE STARTED
COLLEGE, HIS PARENTS MOVED
TO A NEW STATE.
AND JEREMY GOT A NEW TASTE
OF FREEDOM.
SO NOW I'M IN A CITY I'VE
BEEN IN ALL OF MY LIFE
PRACTICALLY, AND I'M THERE
WITHOUT MY PARENTS.
BUCK WILD.
Reporter: JEREMY SAYS
SMALL COMPROMISES LED HIM TO
DO ALL OF THE THINGS HE
PROMISED HE NEVER WOULD.
BEFORE HE KNEW IT, JEREMY
WAS DRINKING, GETTING HIGH,
AND HAVING SEX.
I BEGAN TO LIVE LIFE FOR
JEREMY.
I BEGAN TO SAY, I'M GOING
GOING TO MAKE A NAME FOR
MYSELF ON CAMPUS.
I WANT ALL OF THE GIRLS AND
ALL OF THE CLOTHES.
IT'S ALL ABOUT ME, ME, ME.
Reporter: JEREMY SAID
HE WAS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT
HIS TRUE IDENTITY.
IN COLLEGE, I REALLY
STRUGGLED WITH IT BECAUSE
THAT'S WHEN I WAS BECOMING A
MAN.
AND I WAS TRYING TO FIGURE
OUT WHAT TYPE OF A MAN WOULD
I BE?
Reporter: AFTER
COLLEGE, JEREMY BECAME A
MANAGER AT A RENTAL CAR
COMPANY.
DRUG USERS WERE FREQUENT
COSTUMERS.
THEY WOULD GIVE ME MONEY,
AND WEED AS A FAVOR FOR ME
TO PUT THEM IN A CAR THEY
DIDN'T QUALIFY FOR.
Reporter: AND THEN
JEREMY STARTED A SUCCESSFUL
BUSINESS PROMOTING
NIGHTCLUBS.
THE PAY WAS BETTER THAN HIS
DAY JOB, SO HE QUIT.
WHEN THE LIGHTS WOULD GO
OFF AND I WOULD WAKE UP AND
I WOULD SOBER UP, MAR PART
OF ME FELT DEPRESSED BECAUSE
I KNEW THERE WAS MORE TO
LIFE.
Reporter: JEREMY'S
FATHER KNEW THERE WAS MORE,
SO HE PRAYED.
I THINK AT THE HEIGHT OF
MY SUCCESS IN NIGHTCLUBS AND
DRUGS, MY FATHER WAS IN THE
HEIGHT OF HIS PRAYER.
WHATEVER I WAS DOING THAT
WASN'T BRINGING GOD IN
HEAVEN GLORY, HE WAS PRAYING
THAT I FAILED AT IT.
INSTANTLY, MY DRUG
CONNECTION GOT CUT OFF, AND
MY NIGHTCLUB OPERATION GOT
CUT OFF.
IN A MONTH'S TIME, I FOUND
MYSELF BROKE, OWING PEOPLE
MONEY.
Reporter: JEREMY WAS ON
HIS WAY TO GETTING HIGH WHEN
HE WENT TO HIS
GRANDMOTHER'S.
SHE WAS, LIKE, WHAT
HAPPENED TO MY LITTLE
GRANDSON.
AND I SAID, I'M A DIFFERENT
PERSON.
I'VE CHANGED.
AND HE SAID, YOU'VE CHANGED,
BUT GOD CAN CHANGE YOU
BACK.
AND I STARTED THINKING ABOUT
THAT.
GOD CAN CHANGE ME BACK?
AND THIS WAS A PIVOTAL
MOMENT.
HE SAID, GOD LOVES YOU, GOD
CAN RESTORE YOU, AND GOD
STILL WANTS TO USE YOU.
AND AT THAT TIME, I DECIDED
TO GIVE MY LIFE TO GOD.
Reporter: JEREMY
SURRENDERED TO GOD, BUT HE
STILL HAD TO FACE HIS
ADDICTION TO DRUGS AND
ALCOHOL.
I BELIEVED THE LIES OF
THE DEVIL.
I THOUGHT THE ONLY WAY I
WOULD GET A GOOD NIGHT'S
REST AFTER MAKING THIS
DECISION IF I GOT HIGH OR
DRUNK.
I WAS SMOKING SOMETHING THAT
WOULD INSTANTLY GET ME HIGH,
AND I'M SMOKING AND SMOKING
AND I CAN'T GET HIGH.
GOD SAID, YOU'VE BEEN USING
DRUGS AND ALCOHOL AND WOMEN
TO FILL A HOLE WITHIN YOUR
HEART AND WITHIN YOUR SOUL.
SINCE YOU ACCEPTED ME, SON,
THERE IS NO MORE ROOM FOR
THE OTHER STUFF.
I'VE FILLED THAT VOID IN
YOUR LIFE AND YOU'VE BEEN
MADE NEW AGAIN.
Reporter: JEREMY HASN'T
TOUCHED DRUGS OR ALCOHOL
SENSE.
SINCE.
AND HE WAS REBAPTIZED BY HIS
FATHER.
AND HE GOT MARRIED AND
JEREMY IS NOW A FATHER.
TODAY HE LOOKED TO THE
HEAVENLY FATHER FOR HIS
IDENTITY.
THE FATHER WHO SAYS I SEE
A VISION AND A PLAN FOR YOUR
LIFE, AND I WILL NOT LET THE
DEVIL CONQUER YOUR LIFE.
I'M GOING TO TAKE WHAT THE
DEVIL MEANT FOR EVIL AND I'M
GOING TO TURN IT AROUND FOR
GOD.
