Giving a Faith-Filled Report

Caleb joined Joshua in giving a faith-filled report about the promised land. They knew that God had already promised the land to them. It didn't matter that there were giants in the land -- they would be driven out before the people of God!
And Caleb was promised his own inheritance by the Lord through Moses. He wasn't going to rest until he obtained the promise of the Lord. One day he stood before Joshua, who had become the leader after Moses' death, and he boldly declared:
"You know what the LORD said to Moses the man of God at Kadesh Barnea about you and me. … on that day Moses swore to me, 'The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance and that of your children forever, because you have followed the LORD my God wholeheartedly.'" (Josh. 14:6b, 9, NIV)
Then Caleb claimed his promise from the Lord:
"Now give me this mountain that the LORD promised me that day. You yourself heard then that the Anakites were there and their cities were large and fortified, but, the LORD helping me, I will drive them out just as he said." (Josh. 14:12, NIV)
Today, we have a mountain to take in the Spirit. Though there may be spiritual forces that we confront, we can drive them out because we have the promise of God that he has given us the land!
Because Caleb followed the LORD, the God of Israel, wholeheartedly, the Bible tells us that Joshua blessed Caleb and gave him Hebron as his inheritance. So Hebron has belonged to Caleb ever since! (Josh. 14:13-14, NIV)
Let's take our mountain today in Jesus' name!
