It's been exactly one week since a devastating EF-4 tornado struck Illinois, and Operation Blessing relief efforts are still going strong.

Every day, volunteers have been helping and encouraging victims around the town of Rochelle.

On Thursday, another 113 volunteers removed debris and sawed up fallen trees. They also helped residents salvage personal belongings and move them to temporary storage.

Since last Saturday, Operation Blessing has dispatched over 1,600 volunteers to the Olge County area.

The aid group is expecting another 400-500 volunteers Saturday for their last working day.

Two FEMA Voluntary Agency liaisons from the recovery division in Chicago visited to thank Operation Blessing for their volunteer coordination. When the aid group gave them a tour of the disaster area, they were very impressed with the progress of the clean-up.
