Bringing Hope to Ukraine’s Children Through Superbook
In Ukraine, where communities are working tirelessly to nurture faith and resilience in the next generation, CBN Animation’s Superbook is making a powerful impact. This past October, two seminars for children’s ministers were held—one in Kiev during the “ABC of Life” exhibition and another in the Mykolaiv region. These training sessions were opportunities to equip leaders with creative tools to share God’s Word with children in meaningful ways.
The team introduced innovative resources, including the workshop “Talking with Children About Emotions Using the Media Resources of Superbook” and a fun activity called “Dominoes of Emotions.” They also created Christmas crafts, programs, and scenarios to help churches engage children during the holiday season. In early October, a new chapter of the Superbook Club began welcoming children, and the ministry is already bearing fruit.
Anna, who oversees children and adolescent ministry in Mykolaiv, shared her excitement:
“I gathered those who serve children and adolescents to introduce them to the Superbook programs. I was impressed by the modernity and wide range of developments, both online and offline. I would like those who work with children and adolescents to use the programs of the Superbook project. I am glad that thanks to you they got to know Superbook better and took in the information. Thank you!”
Her words reflect the growing enthusiasm among leaders who see Superbook Academy—the Sunday school curriculum based on CBN Animation’s Superbook—as a vital tool for teaching biblical truths in a way that resonates with today’s kids.
Another inspiring testimony comes from Nadiya, leader of the Superbook Club in the Odessa region:
“The dream of creating a Superbook Club arose a long time ago, we even had a textbook purchased a few years ago. After talking with the pastor, we started looking for a place [to host the Superbook Club], and in 2022, we held the first meeting… Meetings were held every [week], and camps were held in the summer. The Club is currently visited by about 60 children. In the village, they know about the Superbook Club. Teachers ask students. Some mothers bring their children themselves, so now they have opened another group for younger children. It is a great blessing for me to watch how children change. After the first camp, two girls invited Jesus into their lives.”
