Thanksgiving is a time to remember our many blessings and the Lord's goodness to us.

A special message from Pat Robertson

Give thanks for your many blessings.

Give a special gift to help those in need.

Happy Thanksgiving! This is one of my favorite times of the year, when we stop and give thanks for our many blessings and the amazing goodness of the Lord in our lives. As I count those blessings, my heart gives thanks for you. You have meant so much to me and the CBN ministry.

I thank God for you, and I thank Him for the marvelous things He has done through you—because you have been faithful and you have blessed so many in His name.

My thoughts and prayers are with those who have suffered such immense devastation in the Bahamas. We also see the magnitude of destruction from flooding in Houston and other areas in our nation. There is tremendous loss and heartache for those ravaged by disaster. Yet, you have been there helping to save and rebuild lives. Thank you for showing your love and concern.

Struggle comes to all of us. Perhaps you are enduring a hardship right now. Maybe it's a loved one who is lost, or an illness that has you down, or perhaps an unexpected financial difficulty. What do you and I do when times are hard? The answer from God's Word is clear: give thanks.

As you thank God, you become aware of His presence. And as you sit in His presence, a heavenly transaction takes place. God will take your troubles and sorrows, and He will exchange them for His comfort and peace. God's love for you is so great. As you thank Him, you are expressing your trust in Him and in His care over your life.

Whatever you may be facing today, position yourself to receive God's blessing. Thank Him, and watch the Lord transform your heart.

During this season of thanks, please remember the many desperate people in our nation and world who are suffering each day. Imagine if you were living in a home made of plastic bags, or if you had to give your baby a drink from a filthy pond. Here in America, many hardworking families must choose between keeping the heat and lights on or buying groceries for their children—because there just isn't enough money to do both.

Would you join me in a Robertson family tradition? Each year, we take the amount we spend on our Thanksgiving holiday meal and give an equal amount to help those in need.

Friend, I am asking you to demonstrate your thanks to God and give a special gift this holiday, because we need you to help poor families, orphans and others forgotten by the world. Without your help, many people will never know or experience God's great love and forgiveness.

Please join me in giving back to the Lord with a heart full of praise for all the blessings we enjoy.

Thank you for your unwavering support and for being the kind of person who cares so much for others.

May God fill your life with His abundant provision, favor and love. And may you enjoy His presence as you thank Him for all He is and all He has done for you.

Yours in Christ,
Pat Robertson
