WikiLeaks' Julian Assange to Unveil 'October Surprise?'

WikiLeaks ' Julian Assange canceled his plans to make an address from the balcony of the Ecuadorian Embassy in London. Instead, he opted for a video-link presentation at a Berlin conference. Concerns for his safety prompted the move early Tuesday morning.

His presentation marked the 10-year anniversary of the organization, and political observers felt it could be an "October surprise" in the American presidential election.

But there were no bombshells from the WikiLeaks founder in the overnight video appearance. Assange has now promised to publish presidential election information "every week for the next 10 weeks."

"The documents themselves are revealing, but the government/state reactions to the releases are revealing also," he said.

Assange denied he was targeting Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton with his document dumps. He said some of his statements have been misinterpreted.

In August, Assange told Fox News he had a major scoop that could influence the race.

Assange has been at Ecuadorian Embassy in London for more than four years to avoid being extradited to Sweden to face alleged sex crimes.
