Three Michigan government employees could soon be facing charges for their involvement in the Flint water crisis.

Michigan Attorney General Bill Schutte will announce the charges as early as Wednesday. According to ABC's News affiliate WXYZ in Detroit, the charges will include felonies such as falsifying government documents.

Two of the three government employees are state officials, with one being from the state Department of Environmental Quality and the other a water treatment plant supervisor.

The charges come after the widespread contamination of the Flint water supply that threatened the health of local residents.
