A private college in Cleveland shut down activities and offered counseling for students who might be disturbed by expected conflict at this week's Republican National Convention.

The College Fix reports Case Western Reserve University was concerned about the overall climate in the country.

"University counseling services will continue to offer walk-in services for students who want to talk with someone about their concerns related to recent events and/or the upcoming convention," the university said in a memo.

The college also created so-called "safe spaces" in collaboration with their LGBT center and Interreligious Council.
