Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's recent interview with the FBI might mean the end is near for the investigation into her email scandal.

This weekend Clinton sat down for a three-hour interview with the FBI. They're trying to determine if she broke the law and exposed government secrets when she used a personal home email server to conduct official business as secretary of state.

The controversy surrounding her email has been a major issue for Clinton's campaign for the White House. If Clinton and her aides are exonerated, it may help get rid of a major political issue that has caused many voters to question her trustworthinesss.

Her interview comes just days after her husband and former President Bill Clinton had a private meeting with Attorney General Loretta Lynch. Although Lynch maintains their meeting was strictly personal and had nothing to do with Hillary Clinton's criminal investigation, it  raised more suspicions about the Clintons' possible manipulation of the justice system.

Following reports of Clinton's FBI interview,  presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump tweeted: "It is impossible for the FBI not to recommend criminal charges against Hillary Clinton. What she did was wrong!"

There is still little word if Clinton will be prosecuted or not. Meanwhile, she continues to battle Trump for the White House.
