Once a Stripper, Now She's Sharing Jesus with Women Everywhere.

Tiara Walton (formerly known professionally as “Mizhani”) is a Christian speaker, poet, entrepreneur, and former exotic dancer whose testimony has gained significant attention in recent years. She is best known for sharing how she left a successful career in the adult entertainment industry after what she describes as a profound encounter with God and has since dedicated her life to encouraging others toward healing, faith, and restoration. 

Early life

Walton grew up in Detroit, Michigan, in what she describes as a loving, church-going family. Her stepfather is a pastor and her mom an evangelist.  She has spoken openly about having supportive parents and being raised with Christian values.

As a teenager she loved reading, writing poetry, and literature, but says she eventually drifted into unhealthy relationships and destructive choices. One aspect of her life which was missing, Walton says, is healthy friendships with other women, to the point where she felt rejected and longed for what she calls “The Four A’s:” acceptance, acknowledgment, approval, and applause.  

Rise to Fame as "Mizhani"

After moving from Detroit to Miami at age 19, in 2008, Walton delved deeper into the adult entertainment industry. She quickly became one of the most recognizable performers in the country, and spent approximately ten years as an exotic dancer. In 2012, at just 23 years old, she was crowned the "Queen of King of Diamonds (KOD)." KOD was then the best-known strip club in the United States. She earned substantial income, traveled internationally, and developed a large social media following. Her athletic performances eventually led her to create Mizhani Pole Fitness, teaching pole fitness workshops around the country. “Mizhani was a demon,” she now recognizes. (The word means balance, scale, or measure in Arabic.)  “I know what it is to be worshipped,” Walton says of her time in the industry. “The stage is the altar, the money is the sacrifice, and the dancer is the deity,” she says of that lifestyle. Although she achieved fame and financial success, she has repeatedly said she felt increasingly empty and spiritually conflicted. Just two years later, Walton was lured into a hotel room by what turned out to be a polygamist’s cult, and was left with a man who sexually assaulted her.  He forced “access to her soul,” she says.  

Christian Conversion and Testimony

Walton describes her transformation as gradual but decisive. She has shared that although she was raised in church, she ignored much of what she had learned during her years in the entertainment industry. Over time she experienced what she calls intense spiritual conviction. In interviews Walton has described: struggling with depression, heavy marijuana use, feeling spiritually empty despite financial success, and sensing that God was calling her to leave her lifestyle completely. Rather than making small changes, she says she quit everything at once in 2017: stripping, smoking marijuana, and casual sexual relationships. Walton has said she simply reached a point where she no longer wanted that life and believed Christ was calling her into something entirely different. She credits the strength that God gave her and very loving, supportive parents for her ability to not only leave, but to stay away from that world.  

Changes

Walton often emphasizes that her transformation wasn't merely behavioral but spiritual. Among the themes she returns to repeatedly are: repentance, surrender to Jesus Christ, learning her identity apart from fame, 
discovering peace instead of constant striving, and replacing performance with purpose. “People say, “You’re so strong,’ and I say, ‘I’m so surrendered.’” She says the greatest evidence of God's work in her life is not public success but inward peace. “There’s nothing missing or lacking now,” she explains.  “And my desire to have women as friends has been replaced with wanting to bring them to Christ.”  Walton has also spoken publicly about removing cosmetic procedures—including illegal buttocks injections, and breast implants—as part of what she views as God's work of restoring both her body and identity. 

Ministry Today

Today Walton's work centers on several areas: Christian speaking, spoken-word poetry, podcast interviews 
mentoring women, continuing to operate Epiphany Pole Fitness as a business while separating it from her former identity, and discussing healing from shame, trauma, and body image distortion. 

Across numerous interviews, several consistent themes emerge:

• No one is beyond God's grace. She believes Christ can redeem anyone regardless of their past. 

• Success cannot replace peace. She often says she had money and fame but still felt empty. 

•  Identity belongs in Christ, not career. Much of her message focuses on finding worth apart from public image. 

•  Healing is ongoing. She speaks honestly about continuing to grow spiritually rather than presenting herself as having "arrived." 

Walton is also planning to open a safe house in Florida for women who are broken by life for whatever reason, and want to heal by trusting Christ.
