From Tragedy to Purpose: How Faith and Clay Helped Linda Little Rebuild Her Life

After a devastating car accident left her with a traumatic brain injury, Linda Little faced a future she never imagined.

On July 7, 1996, Linda's life changed in an instant when a teenage driver struck her vehicle. The accident left her struggling to walk, speak, and use her hands. Doctors warned that the quality of life she once enjoyed might never return. For 18 months, she endured intensive rehabilitation, battling hopelessness and wondering if she would ever find purpose again. 

Desperate for direction, Linda cried out to God. The answer came through an unexpected form of therapy: clay sculpting.

What began as a rehabilitation exercise soon became something much deeper. As she worked with clay, Linda discovered a new way to express herself, heal emotionally, and reconnect with her God-given purpose. Though she had never considered herself an artist before the accident, her talent began to emerge. 

Encouraged by her husband, Parke, a Marine Corps veteran, Linda eventually focused her artwork on honoring America's military. After Parke's sudden death in 2020, her sculptures became a tribute to both his legacy and the sacrifices of service members across the nation. 

Her work gained national attention, culminating in a remarkable opportunity. After sending information about one of her sculptures to the White House, the piece caught the eye of a Pentagon curator, who declared, "This belongs in the Pentagon." Just months later, Linda's artwork was displayed there. 

Today, Linda is an acclaimed bronze sculptor whose work can be found in places of national significance, including installations honoring the military and the Space Force. Despite continuing to live with the effects of her traumatic brain injury, she uses her art to inspire others and celebrate courage, sacrifice, and faith. 

For Linda, the journey is about more than artistic success. It's a testimony that God can bring beauty from brokenness and transform tragedy into purpose.
