Her Life Was Dictated by a Walker, But Freedom Came Through a TV Screen

"When my mom and my brother unexpectedly passed away, I felt very alone and I was kind of like wasting my time." After losing her last immediate family members, Margarita Salah found herself isolated and alone, having lost her drive and sense of purpose. "I didn't know what I was gonna do with myself. I, because I, it was so unexpected." A year later in 2022, Margarita joined her local senior center hoping it would dispel her loneliness. "I needed to get up and do something," and "I had signed up for the senior center" where "they have all kinds of activities for seniors, including pickleball, which I didn't know anything about."

"They handed her a wooden paddle, and she loved it instantly." However, after being inactive for so long, "she had an accident the very same day." "I fell back and hit my elbow," and "I was more embarrassed than anything else." However, Margarita didn't see a doctor, expecting her elbow to heal on its own. "I was so upset about everything," "I had bruising on my left elbow" and "I was crying I was screaming I was like, why, Lord, why does this have to happen?" "I said, 'Lord, please heal my body, please heal my body, heal my elbow, heal my entire body.'"

On the morning of May 13, Margarita began her day like she had for years watching The 700 Club. As the program came to a close, "and I always pray when they pray," she heard something that stopped her cold: "(Gordon) Someone else with a left elbow injury I don't know if it's from pickleball or tennis but your left elbow—God's healing you right now in Jesus' name. Amen." "And I'm like, he must be talkin about me, he must be I mean, how can that be? So I claimed it right away. I said, 'That's me, that's me, that's me, Jesus, that's me.'" "I think it was special for me when Gordon said that because it was so specific."

Margarita rejoiced. From that day forward, "she didn't even think about her elbow." Two days later, "she noticed something remarkable—the bruising was gone!" "And so was the tenderness. There was no pain, no limitation, and no return of the injury!" "The bruising was gone" and "I'm, I'm like, oh my gosh, miracles do happen." "I think it's amazing what Gordon and Terry do. I mean, how they pray... They've got the gift that the Lord has given them and they're able to share that gift with us."

Today, Margarita is still active, enjoying pickleball—and no longer alone. Through the senior center, "she's made new friends and found new joy." The injury that once seemed like an accident became a reminder that "God sees. God knows. And God heals." "I believed in miracles, but until they happened to you, it really sinks into your heart," but "all I know that it just made my faith stronger, it made me believe even more, and... So like, God, thank you. Thank you so much."
