Finding a Better Way 

Most people know Anthony O’Neal as the financial expert that he is now, but he was once a broke twenty-year-old with less than seven dollars to his name. One night, he used every last dollar he had just to fill up his car with gas and buy himself dinner.

He grabbed two double cheeseburgers and a sweet tea from McDonald’s and went back to his apartment. He cut them each in half, saving three of the halves for another day. He sat in his apartment, eating one half of a cheeseburger and drinking a watered down sweet tea as his dinner. He realized that there had to be a better way to live.  

He decided to stop living paycheck to paycheck and start living free. His determination to find a better way and follow a step by step plan to financial freedom is what has inspired thousands of people like him to do the same.

Becoming the Expert

He is also the #1 national bestselling author of Debt-Free Degree and Take Your Seat at The Table.  

He has appeared on a number of television shows, spoken on stages in front of thousands of people, and been featured in magazines as well.  

Each endeavor has given him the opportunity to empower people to have financially successful futures and live free of debt.  

Applying to Regent 

In 2025, Anthony chose to follow the calling of the Lord and pursue his Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) with a focus on Finance & Investing at Regent University. He states, in one interview, that one day he woke up and felt like the Lord was compelling him to go back to school. So, he went back to school and got his bachelor’s degree and his MBA, but God told him that he wasn’t done.  

He found Regent by looking online and decided to apply. He met with the dean of the School of Business and Leadership, Dean Gomez, and realized that Regent was the right choice for him.  

Anthony is an example of someone who decided not to accept the idea of living paycheck to paycheck as normal. He decided to make a change, and now he shows others to do the same.  

He values biblical principles and biblical teaching, and he makes a point to incorporate those ideas in his book and in his way of life.
