The Story Behind Beyond Belief: When God Changes the Plan
CARSON LUEDERS
Carson Lueders has been singing, writing songs, and playing guitar since a very young age. He began singing at about age five or six, around the same time he received his first guitar. His childhood babysitter even remembers hearing him singing while the other kids were going to bed.
He attributes much of his early musical inspiration to artists like Keith Urban, who was the first concert he ever attended. As Carson began to find his own sound, he resembled artists like Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes. He has also worked with producers like Timbaland.
Carson is not only a musician but also an actor, making his big-screen debut in the feature film “Beyond Belief”. Carson says, “This film reminded me to trust God’s purpose for my life and how important it is to not focus on followers or success but instead be a light to people”.
BEYOND BELIEF
“Beyond Belief” follows a young musician whose dreams take an unexpected turn when he senses God calling him to take a different path. Much like Carson in real life, his character in the film, Andy, goes on a journey of self-discovery, as many young people do.
Throughout the course of the film, Andy discovers that God’s plans for his life are actually bigger than his own dreams are. He learns to trust God even through his grief and struggles.
Featuring the music of Christian rock band Petra, the film bridges the generational gap between longtime fans and younger audiences who are hearing Petra’s music for the first time.
THE MESSAGE
From the moment Carson first read the script, he saw himself in the character of Andy. Carson resonated with the fact that Andy is a young musician trying to find himself, which hits very close to home considering Carson himself is a musician and grew up doing music.
He hopes that audiences, especially young audiences, will connect with and relate to the character and the story of the film.
About The Author
As a Guest Setup Producer for the 700 Club, Grayson aims to make lasting connections with people by learning their story and their hearts.
He grew up in the Hampton Roads area and in a Christ-centered home. He has six siblings whose names all start with the letter “G”. One of these siblings is his twin brother, Graham.
Grayson is not unfamiliar with the 700 Club, as he is the fourth member of his family to work for CBN. His mom, brother, and sister were all a part of the CBN family at one time or another.
He also studied Film and Television at Regent University for four years. During his time there, he worked on a variety of student projects, including short films, documentaries, and TV shows. Now he uses the skills he learned from those experiences to help him do the job he has now.
Grayson’s goal is to help CBN further the Gospel of Christ by connecting with people and sharing the love of Jesus with them.
