of Spokane, Washington loved blessing
others the way God has blessed them.
- Reciprocity is basically God's nature.
He's a God who wants tobless, he calls us to bless,
and as we bless, he gives usmore opportunity to bless more.
- [Reporter] They first learnedabout the law of reciprocity
from Pat Robertson'steaching on the "700 Club."
- Every time I would watch CBN,I would trust in his heart.
His heart was good, he was wise.
- Seeing other couples thatwere going through hard times,
we could identify with that.
- [Reporter] Jack worked as a counselor
with the Washington StateDepartment of Corrections.
Gina ran a daycare intheir home for extra money.
Their family of six was barely surviving
on their $2,100 a month income.
- I was trying to providegroceries for $20 a week
for the family.
That's what I had, $20 a week.
And I would go up and downthe aisle of the store
of all the things I knowwhat I couldn't buy.
So it was a lot ofpotatoes, a lot of beans.
- [Reporter] Since theylived paycheck to paycheck
with no savings, they were terrified
at the thought of tithing.
- The biggest part of itfor us was a trust issue.
Would God really provide?
- [Reporter] After two yearsof watching "The 700 Club,"
Jack and Gina took a chance.
They tithed to theirchurch and gave to CBN.
That's when they say theystarted to see God provide
for their family.
First, Gina was awarded afull ride college scholarship
to complete her bachelor'sdegree and become a teacher.
She went on to get her master's
and with it, a substantial wage increase.
- We were flourishing.
It wasn't steak every night, but it was
still a wonderful increase for the family.
The fear was leaving.
The fear of not having enough was leaving.
- [Reporter] Then Gina had a health crisis
that forced her to quit her job.
That meant they would bewithout a second income.
- I went to the Lord and just told him,
"I don't know what to do."
But the Lord spoke to me very clearly,
and he said, "Gina, Iwant to take care of you."
- [Reporter] Almostimmediately God provided.
Jack received a promotionand three pay increases
over the next year.
- It was just God's way of speaking to me.
"Jack, I'm going toprovide, don't worry about."
- [Reporter] A few yearslater, Gina recovered
and returned to teachingas an adjunct professor
and student teacher supervisorat a local university.
Since then, Jack and Ginahave continued to support
"The 700 Club" by becomingCBN 100 Club members.
- You can trust CBN.
You can trust that they'regoing to take your money
and invest it wisely.
They're going to invest it in people.
- We know that when a bigtornado rips through the South,
Operation Blessing's going to be there.
We know that when peopleneed medical care,
their needs are going to be met by CBN.
- [Reporter] Jack and Gina are now retired
and continuing to blessothers through their giving.
- God is completely trustworthy.
He's good, and I can't trust anyone else
like I can trust him to direct my life.
