Irene, an educator in a remote village in the Philippines, needed supplies for her students and CBN partners came to the rescue. See how your generosity helped Irene and her students!

- [Narrator] In thisremote mountain village
in the Philippines, Ireneteaches more than 50 children
and adults who have noaccess to formal education.
Many have grown up without knowing
how to write their ownnames or even count to 10.
- It's common in thistribe to be uneducated.
That's why I encouraged themto learn and be educated
for our children's future.
- [Narrator] Irene received her degree
in information technology,
but instead of findinga lucrative tech job,
she returned to her hometownto help break the cycle
of poverty that she grew up with.
This is one of her adult students, Magno.
- Before Ms. Irene taughtus about reading and math,
outsiders who buy ourproduce often cheated us.
But all that changedwhen we started learning.
We don't get easilyfooled by others anymore.
- [Narrator] And this isanother student, Cheryl.
- Education is so important to me.
I want to be like Ms. Irene.
I also want to teach kidshere in the community,
so they can have a betterlife than their parents had.
- [Narrator] Because of the pandemic,
supply lines to the remotecommunity had been limited.
Getting supplies forlearning for the students
had been even more challenging.
- We needed more paper toprint out weekly lessons,
and we need more schoolsupplies for all the students.
But we were at a loss
as to where we could get those supplies.
- [Narrator] WhenOperation Blessing learned
about their need, we crossed 11 rivers
and climbed narrow mountainroads to reach the school.
We delivered six monthsworth of school supplies
and materials for Ms.Irene and her students.
- Thank you, Lord.
I have been praying forthis and God truly provided
for everything we needed.
Now the kids can continuewith their studies.
I don't have to worry about where
to get our supplies tomorrowbecause we have six months
of materials available for us.
