- I was looking for probablymore meaning to my life.
I knew that I needed more knowledge.
I didn't, I didn't know what to do.
- [Announcer] It was then he came across a
Christian TV program that would become his
source of hope andencouragement, The 700 Club.
- And I knew that The 700 Club was there
and they had the knowledgeand I was yearning for it.
- But Paul still wasn't sureGod really cared about him.
That changed one day in February of 1986.
- [Announcer] But ladies and gentlemen,
I want to tell you right now there's hope.
There's hope in Jesus. AndHe can work out the problem.
- Paul prayed with Pat toask for God's forgiveness
and give his life to Christ.
- The thing that Iunderstood after watching
The 700 Club is that Jesus Christ
would have died for me,
if I was the only onethat needed dying for.
- [Announcer] The migraineshad been coming daily
for three weeks when Malaysiaand her mom sat down to watch
The 700 Club, as they do most days.
- And we got to the part where Ms. Wendy
and Mr. Pat, were about to pray.
And then all of a sudden,Ms. Wendy was like,
there's someone watchingwho's having migraines.
- [Woman] Someone, you have a terrible,
crushing headache right now.
It's mainly on theright side of your head.
And just put your handright there right...
God is touching you andthat pain is lifting.
You are healed in the name of Jesus.
- [Man] Thank you, Lord.
- I was like, oh mygosh, Mom, that's for me.
And so all of a sudden,I remember I'd shouted.
Just started praisingGod, right then and there.
A cold chill came over meand I knew that healing
was for me right in that moment.
The pain was gone and Iwoke up the next morning,
still pain free.
- I watched The 700 Clubthat Thursday morning.
Gordon Robertson had a word.
- Someone else with nervepain on the right side
of your face, that goesup into your upper right
part of your skull.
And God's just taking thatnerve pain away from you.
- And I go, wait a minute.
That, that sounds likewhat's going on with me.
It wasn't just me watchinga TV show. That's for me!
- [Woman] Turn the TV on.
And I keep a timer forwhen The 700 Club airs.
And so I flipped over and justwithin a couple of seconds,
Terry Meeuwsen came on withthe message of healing.
- [Announcer] There's someone else.
You have ulcerative colitisand it's so painful,
but today is your day.
Jesus is healing you.
And it's going to be notjust a little bit better.
It's going to be gone in Jesus' name.
- I just lifted my handsand said, I, I take it.
I accept it. I claim it inthe name of Jesus Christ.
The symptom stopped.
All of the pain went away.
And I felt hope for the first time
in almost five years.
- If Pat Robertson was onTV and he started talking
about a God who still heals.
A God who still heals!
Wow!
Those are incredible words.
I had not heard themin any of the churches.
I had not heard them from the people.
I just heard that I had tojust accept the way Sandra
was going to be probablyin a wheelchair or probably
with a walker.
But this man on TV, thatthere's God who still heals!
That was amazing!
It was amazing! It wasexactly what I needed to hear.
