You Made this Holocaust Survivor Feel Loved!

When Israel shutdown due to Covid-19, it brought back painful memories of loneliness for Bronya. But thanks to the love of CBN partners, Bronya received both company and necessities. Read Transcript


- [Narrator] Bronya isa Holocaust survivor

who lives in Israel.

She still suffers daily fromthe trauma she experienced

during the war.

- I remember when theNazi arrived at our house

and they took my father tothe center of the village

with the other men.

They shot him right there.

I never really got to know him.

- [Narrator] Nazis forcedthe rest of Bronya's family

to live in a pig styduring their first winter

in a Ukrainian ghetto.

- We were so cold and hungry.

My baby sister starved to death.

To this day, I constantlystruggle with those memories

like a black cloud over my head.

- [Narrator] The loneliness brought on by

the COVID-19 lockdowns in Israel,

made her feel even worse.

- Being alone, worried aboutthe virus has been very hard.

- [Narrator] Bronya wasn'table to go out to get groceries

or see her friends becauseof the threat of catching

the coronavirus.

SO, CBN Israel started delivering food

and checking in on her tohelp her feel less lonely.

- It's wonderful thatyou want to come see me

and bring this food.

You make me feel like Istill matter to someone

and that means everything.

Thanks to CBN donors,

Bronya and other Holocaustsurvivors in Israel

will get the food and support they need

during and after this pandemic.

That helps give them peace of mind.
