Feeding a Desperate Family

The hotel industry was hit hard by the pandemic. Roxana is a single mother who depended on a hotel job to provide for her children. When she was laid off, it was difficult to pay for food. But your kindness kept her family from going hungry. Read Transcript


- [Narrator] Roxanna is a single mom.

She worked in the hotel industryuntil the coronavirus hit.

When she lost her job,

she suddenly struggled to make ends meet.

- The pandemic started, and I had no job.

I didn't have any money to pay my bills

and I couldn't afford any food,

and it feels like you justhave no where else to run.

- [Narrator] Then she found out about

Operation Blessingpartner Services of Hope.

The ministry receives

food from Operation Blessing every month,

helping provide forfamilies like Roxxana's.

- Well, my kids were happy,

'cause we finally hadsomething on the table.

They're always excited to open those bags

and see what what's in there.

They like the snacks,they like the cereal,

they like the canned goods.

It's good quality of food.

Financially, it's been great

'cause I get to pay my utilities,

my water bill and my electric,

and that helps me with my budget.

It's just a big blessing.

- [Narrator] Now Roxanna

has a job in the real estate industry.

She says, she's grateful to those

who gave to Operation Blessing.

- I would like to say thank you

for supporting Operation Blessing.

You know, when you put food on the table,

it matters and it counts.

I am very thankful, it's thebest blessing that we can have.
