Ravi Zacharias Ministry Distances Itself from Founder; Announces Upcoming Name Change

- [Heather] The RZIMBoard says the changes
are part of a months-longreview into the ministry's
structure and culture.
It's first priority, thevictims of famed apologist,
Ravi Zacharais, who died last May.
RZIM is asking all of hisvictims to come forward
and providing phone lines inEnglish, French and Spanish.
Abuse advocate, Rachel Denhollander
will serve as their liaison.
- It's finally coming to the surface.
I mean, God is in the business of bringing
darkness to light.
- [Heather] Attorney, Boz Tchividjian,
represents one victim.
He told CBN News recentlythat he's closely following
the ministry and the stepsit will take to help victims
and clean house.
- Let's wait to see what happens.
- [Heather] RZIM saysit will change the name
of the ministry andthat it is discontinuing
the Zacharias Institute brand.
It is beginning to takedown Zacharias' content
from the website and social media.
Sarah Davis, the ministry'sCEO and daughter of Zacharias,
announced the changes.
The RZIM Board of Directorsso far remains anonymous.

to discuss accountabilitywhen there's no transparency.

of Billy Graham, says he'd like to see all
evangelical ministries andchurches reevaluate their
organizations and how theyhold their leaders accountable.
