- Thank you for joining usagain on the Superbook Show.
- Oh, hi.
Welcome.
- Everything Okay MJ?
- Is there like a secret to prayer?
Like a prayer hack.
- Prayer hack?
- Yeah, like, you know, a life hack
a more official way to do something.
- Yeah, I think so.
- Okay, what about this?
Do you know a better way to pray?
- What are you asking exactly?
- I've been praying over and over again
but I still don't seem tohave an answer to my prayers.
- What have you been praying about?
- Well, next year I have to go
to a new school and I can't decide
if I want to go to an Academyor go to public school.
- Sounds like a hard choice.
- I thought so too.
So I asked God what I should do
but I still don't seem to have an answer.
- It sounds like you'redoing the right thing.
- Huh?
- Yeah, check it out.
There's a proverb about this.
It says, trust in theLord with all your heart,
do not depend on your own understanding.
- I want to, I hope I am.
- It definitely sounds like you are.
The next verse says, seekhis will in all you do,
and he will show youthe right path to take.
- Yes, that's what I want him to do.
- He will.
- But.
- No, no buts.
This is where the trustpart of the verse comes in.
If God says something, thosewords will come to pass.
- So what do I do now?
- Two things, waiting and persistence.
In Luke it says to keep on asking,
keep on seeking and keep on knocking.
Anyone who asks receives, anyone who seeks finds
and everyone who knocks will be answered.
- So in other words, don't give up.
- No, don't.
God will give you an answer.
It might come unexpectedly, but it'll come,
not to mention.
- What?
- It might be an answer you didn't expect.
- Really?
I mean, I guess I make sense.
- Yeah, try not to limit theanswers God will give you.
- It's just, is this all normal?
The praying, the waiting.
Does anyone else know how I feel?
- Yes, definitely.
I'm sure Jonah felt thatway while he was praying
from the belly of the great fish,
waiting to get out.
- And I sunk to the heart of the sea.
The mighty waters engulfed me.
I was buried beneath yourwild and stormy waves,
but you, Oh Lord my God snatchedme from the jaws of death.
As my life was slippingaway, I remembered the Lord
and my earnest prayer went outto you in your Holy temple.
- [Boy] Joseph had to feel that way
while he was waiting on Godto get him out of prison.
- Then while a slave, I was arrested
for something I did not do.
And here I am.
- That all just sound so unfair.
- All I want is a chanceto face my brothers,
and find out what kindof men they are today.
I hope they've changed.
- [Boy] I know Job had to feel that way,
as tragedy after tragedyhit him and his family
(cries)
- The Lord gave and theLord has taken away.
Blessed be the name of the Lord.
- Okay, okay.
Those are really great examples.
My problems don't compare.
- I even feel like that whenI'm on the Superbook Show,
- You say what now?
- I get nervous every time I have to speak
in front of people or talk on camera.
- I would've never guessed.
You're such a natural.
- Every time I feel nervous, I go
to God and he helps me through it.
- Wow, I believe God willshow me which school to go to.
I trust in him.
- I trust him too.
His word is forever alive.

- Yeah.
- Okay, okay.
Those are really great- [Man] Great.
(laughs)
- I even feel that way whenI'm on the Superbook Show.
You're laughing at me forbeing on the Superbook Show?
- What about this?
Do you know a better way to pry?
- Yes.
(indistinct chatter)
At least I'm consistent.
