and her siblings have been sleeping.

A category three typhoondestroyed their home

and their community in the Philippines.

This is Angel.

- [Translator for Angel]I am scared of the typhoon

and the strong winds.

It makes my chest hurt, but mylittle sister was scared too,

so I covered her with a blanketuntil we both fell asleep.

- [Narrator] Angel's dad,Roland is raising the kids

after his wife abandoned them.

He built this shanty with scrap wood

he collected after the storm.

He stays up most nights tomake sure his kids are safe.

- [Translator for Roland]I worry about my kids.

I worry about how I can rebuild our house.

Then I lost my fishing jobbecause of the COVID-19.

We have nowhere to turnfor help and nowhere to go.

- [Narrator] So Angel prayed.

- [Translator for Angel]I said, Lord, help us.

Please give us a new house.

Please protect my family.

I love them very much.

I thank you Lord, amen.

- [Narrator] When Operation Blessing

first arrived at their community,

we delivered food packsfor Roland and his children

and other families affectedby COVID-19 and the typhoon.

After we saw the dangerous place

where Angel was living,

we delivered building materials

to help put up a new house for them.

Volunteers helped by Operation Blessing

in an earlier typhoon, came out to help.

Finally to help Roland earn some income,

we gave him what he needed tostart a business selling fish.
