- [Gordon] Ending Alzheimer's.

- You can get your cognitionback, and that's what counts.

- [Gordon] The plan thatcan make a difference.

- This was the way thatpeople will be treating

cognitive decline for years to come.

- [Gordon] Plus, an armed robber...

- We'd take the cash and live off of that.

- [Gordon] is caughttrying to settle a score.

- [Michael] And we see acop driving towards us.

- [Gordon] And you won'tbelieve what happened

after he gets cuffed.

- Imagine what they're going to do to you.

- On today's 700 Club Interactive.

Well, welcome to the show.

Imagine not recognizing yourown children or your spouse,

and then forgetting how to get dressed,

or even how to feed yourself.

Well that's what happensto one in every 10 people

over the age of 65, who have Alzheimer's.

- But what if the symptoms of this disease

could be reversed or even prevented?

CBN's Medical Reporter,Lorie Johnson, has more.

- Just like a roof withdozens of holes can only work

if all of them are repaired,Alzheimer's has dozens

of causes that must all be addressed.

After 30 years of research,Dr. Dale Bredesen,

believes the disease canpossibly be controlled.

- Let's make dementia a rare problem.

Let's make Alzheimer's a rare disease,

just as it should be.

- [Lorie] His book, "TheEnd of Alzheimer's Program",

lists the many differentcauses of Alzheimer's

and describes how his Bredesen protocol

can make a difference.

- You can get your cognition back

and that's what counts.

- [Lorie] Sally Weinrich saysshe experienced a reversal

in her Alzheimer's symptomsafter starting the protocol

nearly four years ago,and gives God the glory.

- From helping to hear about Dr. Bredesen,

from the chance to talk toyou and share it with others,

'cause I think that's God's wish,

for all of us to have help,

and to help me treasure andappreciate my loved ones

even more, have been criticaland very instrumental

in my reversing of Alzheimer's.

- [Lorie] The first step involves getting,

what's called a Cognoscopy.

- So we recommend that everyonewho is 45 years of age,

or older, consider getting a Cognoscopy.

And especially, for anyone whohas any Alzheimer's disease

or dementia of any sort in their family,

to get checked out earlyand get on prevention.

- A Cognoscopy testsfor each of the dozens

of Alzheimer's risk factors.

Because we're all different,

we'll each have different results.

I took a Cognoscopy and it was easy.

I just gave blood samples andtook a quick online MOCA test.

That stands for MontrealCognitive Assessment

and ranges from zero to 30.

The blood tests measureyour levels of good things,

like vitamin D, magnesium, and zinc, as well as bad,

such as toxins and inflammation.

Also your genetic risk.

- It is a complicated disease.

I think there's no one magic bullet.

- Dr. Rebecca Ryder, whoprescribes the Bredesen protocol,

ordered my Cognoscopy andreviewed my results with me.

- Most patients will havea combination of things,

like they'll have a littlebit of hormone deficit,

a little bit of blood sugar problems,

maybe some concern for a toxin exposure.

- [Lorie] Based on myindividual risk factors,

she prescribed a program just for me,

using diet, exercise,sleep, stress reduction,

supplements, and more.

- We've seen some good reversals

of cognitive decline here.

I mean, I have seen thepatients get better.

Not all of 'em.

You know, as with anything,

the earlier you catch it, the better.

- [Lorie] Even thepeople who test positive

for one or both copies ofthe dreaded Alzheimer's gene

can benefit from making life changes.

We can't control thegenes we were dealt with,

but there's a wholefield called Epigenetics,

which says how our genes are translated.

So those lifestyle factors, your diet, your exercise,

all that affects what genes are promoted

or not promoted for your health.

- [Lorie] Now I'm one ofthe more than 5,000 people

on the Bredesen protocol.

- And those 5,000 people, some of them all the way

to MOCA scores of zero in late stage.

Now, no surprise, theearlier that you get started,

the easier it is to get positive outcomes.

However, we have seen some people,

even in late stages, with improvement.

- [Lorie] Dr. Bredesenpublished 100 documented cases

with before and after evidenceof improved cognition,

including Sally's.

- Life's good, so no matterwhat stage you're at,

or even if you have whatsociety calls aging problems,

I'd encourage all your viewersto just do it, just do it.

It's worth it.

- [Lorie] Meanwhile, thedoctor's research continue.

- We're also, I should say, inthe midst of the first trial

in history, in which, insteadof predetermining a treatment,

saying, okay, we're gonna treatwith this drug or that drug;

we are instead looking at allof the different contributors

to the cognitive decline for each person,

and then addressing those.

And this is the way of the future.

This is the way thatpeople will be treating

cognitive decline for years to come.

- [Lorie] So insteadof using a single drug

to treat Alzheimer's, it appearsa customized multi-pronged

approach could be the beststrategy against this scourge.

Lorie Johnson, CBN News.

- Well, if you're in the age group,

me, not her.

(laughs)

If you're in the age groupand you have any risk factors,

and the biggest oneis, do you have anybody

in your bloodline, any ofyour relatives who have had

cognitive decline or Alzheimer's,please get this test.

Because the more you can prevent it,

the better off you're going to be.

No one wants to live with this disease.

My wife's grandmother died of it

and it became very tragic atthe end, as she lost cognition,

was unable to recognize herchildren, her grandchildren.

You just don't want this.

If there's preventative things you can do

from a behavior standpoint, then please do it.

And this is advice to anyone, regardless of your age group,

and I'm preaching tomyself, diet and exercise

are absolutely key tomaintaining your health,

proper sleep, avoiding stress, and please avoid sugar.

That's one of the primecauses of inflammation.

- Yeah, definitely. And Imean, yeah, I might not be

in the high risk group--

- (laughs) You're at no risk.

- But I think diet and exercise,I mean, as you just said,

yes, I reiterate that.

I mean, starting to be moremindful of what you put

in your body at my age, Ithink will obviously help

how you age, you know.

So people who are around myage, be conscious of that.

Take vitamins.

I can't tell you how manyvitamins I take right now.

It takes about five minutes,no I'm just playing.

(laughing)

It's like one pill afterthe other, after the other.

But no, I think it's--

- Now I know you're fully hydrated.

- Yes.

- Which is another keything, lots of water.

- Yeah, absolutely, gotta take prevention.

- All right, we want Ashleyaround for a long time.

- I want you around for a long time too.

- All right, well up next,

a man is caught red-handed by the police.

- Pulled me aross the hood, checked me.

I had the crack on me,I had the knife on me.

- [Gordon] See why theofficer let this man walk,

right after this.

(upbeat music)

Michael Ford was 13 yearsold when his dad put a gun

to his mother's head.

Then he forced her to say,

"He's not your father, you're not his son."

Abuse and violence at thehands of his alcoholic parents

were all that Michael had ever known.

But even abusive parentswere better than no parents,

as Michael was soon to find out.

He dragged her intothe kitchen by her hair

and he pulled out the gunand put it to her head

and cocked it and said,"Tell him the truth."

She looks at me and she says,

"He's not your father, you're not his son."

- [Narrator] Michael Fordspent much of his youth

fearing the man he thought was his father.

- He used to verbally abuse me

as much as he did physically.

He would tell me that, you know, nobody loves me,

nobody wants me.

I'd be better off dead.

I'd be better off running away.

He would always tell her, well, you know,

"What about that SOB thatshouldn't be here right now?"

"He shouldn't be in my house."

You grow up as a kid, regardlessof your parents' flaws,

your parents are your heroes, you know?

But when you find out thatthis man isn't your father,

then who are you as a person?

- [Narrator] Both of hisparents were alcoholics.

- [Michael] She would, youknow, get drunk and cry,

lock herself in her roomand she would get drunk;

and smash things and shoot his guns off

and beat up on me and my mom.

- [Narrator] When Michael was15, his mother went to prison

after she killed someonewhile driving drunk.

- It broke me.

My mom was the best person I knew,

regardless of the flaws that she did have.

And for them to throw thebook at her like that,

it took my hope.

- Michael went to live with relatives

until he finished high school.

Then they told him he was on his own.

- And they tell me,

"Look, you know, yougraduated high school now."

"We did what we had to do."

"We got you through whateveryou need to go through."

"Get a job, do somethin'."

You know, "Don't come back home."

Once again, being rejected, neglected by somebody else,

I ended up at the homelessshelter here in San Antonio.

I remember my first nightthere, man, I cried.

And the only thought thatwas goin' through my head

was, where is everybody?

There I was, alone, by myself, homeless.

I decided then, like, it's just me.

Whatever I gotta do forme, that's what I gotta do.

- [Narrator] Michael turned to gangs

for protection and survival.

- Gang life was glorified.

I wasn't accepted at school,I wasn't accepted by my dad,

but if I joined this, I couldbe accepted by something.

- [Narrator] Michaelalso started stealing.

- There's a lot of people whoget Social Security checks,

welfare checks, in thebeginning of the month.

They'll go to cash out thesechecks and be walking around

with all that money on 'em.

We'd beat 'em up and we'd take the cash

and live off of that.

- [Narrator] EventuallyMichael was arrested.

- So I had the thought thatI was gonna get out of jail

and I was gonna get a job.

I was gonna, you know, goback to school, whatever.

- [Narrator] Shortly after that, however,

Michael's best friend'sgirlfriend was robbed.

The two of them set outto settle the score.

- He gives me a knife, really big knife.

Mind you, at the same time,

I have like $120 worth of crack on me.

We see a cop driving towards us,

so we decided to cut throughthe nearest parking lot.

And I guess that wasenough initiative for him.

And he kind of like swervedaround and cut us off.

Boom.

Threw me across the hood, checked me.

I had the crack on me,I had the knife on me.

- [Narrator] Michael beganto envision life in prison.

- The very first thought thatcame to my mind was like,

yo, they threw the book at your mom.

She had never had troublewith the law before

and they threw the book at her.

So imagine what they'regoing to do to you,

you got a record.

Somethin' in my spirit said, pray.

So I prayed.

I said, "God, please, if youget me out of this situation,

"I'll give my life to you."

- [Narrator] But he wasshocked at what happened next.

- He was like, "You're waytoo young to be gettin'

"in all this trouble."

He said, "Well, what do youwanna do with your life?"

Well, "I wanna go to school."

I'm just being honest.

I started saying thebest stuff I could say

to give this man a goodimpression about me.

I started telling him all types of stuff.

"Oh yeah, I'm gonna go to college."

Finally he just said, "Lookman, this is what I'm gonna do."

"I'm gonna let you go."

"And if I ever see youon this block again,

"it doesn't matter ifyou're goin' to the store

"to get a bag of chips," he said,

"I'm gonna lock you upfor possession charges."

- [Narrator] The next night,Michael met a young man

doing street evangelism.

- He's like, "I'm from the Joshua House."

And he's like, "You know, we'reout here to let people know

"that Jesus loves you, andthere's nothin' you could ever do

"to separate yourself from God's love."

"It doesn't matter whatkind of life you're livin'

right now, Jesus lovesyou just the way you are."

"You come just as you are."

And I just heard the voice of God.

And He said, "You told me youwere gonna give me your life."

"Stop what you're doin',go with these people,

"'cause this is where I want you to be."

As soon as I heard that, I looked at him

and I said, "Let's do it."

"Let's go, I'm ready, let's go."

- [Narrator] Michaelbegan attending a church

in San Antonio and entered a group home

where he was cared for and discipled.

- What really threw me off was the love,

people I had never met before hugging me

and telling me that theyloved me, that Jesus loves me.

It was the first time in mylife that I had felt peace,

that I felt hope.

It was the first time in mylife that I've actually felt

like I had a home.

I learned what it means tolove God, to love others,

to know God, to serve God.

I haven't looked back since.

- [Narrator] Today Michaelis married to Maria

and shares his musical gifts at church

and in the streets of San Antonio.

He's also the directorof the same group home

that he attended.

If somebody hadN'T loved mewhen I wasn't worthy of love,

then I wouldn't be who I am today.

God is calling me to go andshow others that He is love.

Our purpose in life isto worship God, period.

In First Peter, chaptertwo, verse nine, it says,

"You are a chosen generation,

"a royal priesthood,God's special possession."

And that "you have been calledout of the depths of darkness

"into His glorious light,to declare His praise."

Our job as Christians is tolift up the name of Jesus Christ

in everything that wedo, with all of our mind,

with all of our strength, with all of our hope.

- In the world's eyes, Michaelwas never going to make it.

He was born into an abusive environment,

lots of alcohol, lots ofcondemnation and that.

His way out was to go to the streets

and okay, if my parents are doing this,

I'm gonna find something worse to do.

I'm gonna get addicted to crack cocaine.

He gets into trouble andthen, like a lot of people,

when you get into trouble, you make prayers to God,

you make vows to God.

And his vow was, here'smy life, here's my life.

And then when he got out of that trouble,

he got out of that vow.

So if you've done that in yourlife, I'm here for you today.

I wanna talk specifically to you,

because that's exactly where Michael was.

And then he heard a still small voice.

You promised me your life.

You committed your life to me.

This is the way, this isthe way I want you to go.

Now that was a gentle voice.

God wasn't trying to rebuke him.

God wasn't trying to,well you made a contract,

I wanna make you honor your contract.

What God was doing was saying,"Here's the way forward."

"Here's how you can have life, and have it more abundantly."

What the world has to offer, what drugs have to offer,

what fame has to offer, what sexual promiscuity

has to offer, all of those things,

they don't ever lead to live.

What they lead to is deathand disease and destruction.

They don't lead tohappiness, righteousness,

peace, and joy.

What does lead to that?

Jesus.

So if you surrendered your life to Him,

and then for whateverreason, you walked away

and you said, "Well, Ican't live up to that vow."

I've got some great news for you.

You don't have to, He'll do it for you.

He'll open the door for you.

He'll show you where to go.

He'll show you who to be around,

how to have a fellowshipwith like-minded believers,

who will encourage you, that will love you.

That won't condemn you,but will receive you

with open arms, just asthey did with Michael.

People that will unconditionally love you.

Why?

Because they love the same Jesus.

And that's the way forward.

Faith works through love.

And all you have to do isabandon yourself to love.

How easy is that?

And when you do that and you say,

"I want to follow the way of love,"

well then you come intothe great realization

that you're in the kingdom of heaven.

If this is for you, ifthis is what you want.

If you want to turn tolife, turn away from death,

turn to life, bow your head with me.

Let's pray a very simple prayer

and let Jesus do all the rest.

Pray with me.

Jesus

Say his name, say it out loud.

Jesus,

I'm sorry for turning away.

I'm sorry for leaving you.

And I turn back now.

I ask that you forgive me.

I ask that you cleanse me.

I ask that you restore tome the joy of my salvation.

And Jesus,

I once again commit my life to you.

I want to do life your way.

Fill me with your Holy Spirit.

Give me righteousness, peace and joy.

Lead me in the path of salvation.

Jesus, I want you.

And I want you with all of my heart.

Hear my prayer, for I pray it now

in Jesus' name.

Amen.

The Bible says "All who callupon the name of the Lord

"shall be saved."

And what I want you todo is let somebody know

you just did that.

Ashley?

- Well, still to come, aman with excruciating neck

and jaw pain for months whogot no relief from his doctors.

- There were a couple oftimes I came home crying

and I would just fall on the couch.

Yeah, it was really bad.

- [Ashley] Watch how hegets supernaturally healed.

Plus, we'll be prayingfor you and your needs

when we come back, so don't go anywhere.

(upbeat music)

Donald felt excruciating pain in his neck

and jaw for months.

None of the doctors hesaw and none of the pills

they prescribed gave him any relief.

- Snow was coming down.

It was treacherous.

It wasn't stopping.

So they put the call out there.

If anybody else can help and volunteer

to do the plowing, they needed anybody,

because the snow was not stopping.

- [Narrator] Donald Biondodidn't hesitate to jump

into a truck and helpclear the parking lot

at the Lancaster, New YorkHospital, where he works.

But coming from the electrical department,

he had never worked a snowplow, and kept hitting the curbs.

- I guess the more experienced guys know

to raise the plow when theycome to where the curbs are,

but I kept feeling the jolting of my body

every time I hit thecurb, just every time,

it just like I was beatin' myself up.

- [Narrator] Donaldstarted having minor neck

and jaw pain that went awayafter just a few weeks.

Then, more than a yearlater, in the summer of 2017,

the pain came back;

this time with a vengeance.

There were a couple oftimes I came home crying

and I would just fallon the couch and say,

"Mary, bring me a block of ice."

"Bring me something, bring me a heating pad."

I did see many doctors andI went to chiropractors

and I went to another TMJ doctor,

but the pain was increasing.

It wasn't getting better.

All they did is prescribepills, muscle relaxers,

and sleeping pills, pain pills.

My whole life was messed up.

I couldn't plan anything,

'cause I didn't knowif it was gonna happen.

Yeah, it was really bad.

- [Narrator] Donald decided early on

to trust God for healing.

- In the middle of the pain, I'd say,

"Father," I said,

"this pain is not gonna stopme from believing in you."

"I'm not gonna let this paindestroy my walk with you."

- [Narrator] Then on Christmasday of that same year,

Donald was at a familygathering when the pain became

so unbearable, he ran into a bathroom

and cried out to God in desperation.

- I says, "God, this has gotta stop."

Especially on a day likeChristmas, it's like,

"This has gotta stop!"

- [Narrator] Donald saysjust a few days later,

God answered his prayers.

I watched the 700 Club,a Thursday morning.

Gordon Robertson had a word.

- Someone else with nervepain on the right side

of your face, that goes upinto your upper right part

of your skull and God'sjust taking that nerve pain

away from you.

- And I go, "Wait a minute,

"that sounds like what's goingon with me (voice breaking)."

It wasn't just me watching a TV show.

That's for me!

- [Narrator] Over the next week,

the pain subsided untilit was completely gone.

And it has never come back.

- To be pain-free, to really be pain-free.

I got to understand what pain is,

but God showed me thatHe can take away pain

and He can heal.

He is the healer andit's part of His covenant

that He has for each of us.

He is the one who does the miracles.

Yes,

yes.

- Yes.

God's promises are yes

and Amen.

He is Jehovah Rapha.

He is our healer.

And we're about to pray for you guys.

But I want you to keep this in mind.

When you go into prayer, have faith that God is

who He says He is, regardlessof what you're feeling,

regardless what the circumstances,

have faith in God alone, that He is your healer.

Gordon?

- He wants to heal you.

You don't have to beg Him for it.

You don't have to plead

for what has already been accomplished.

Donald said, "I knowwhat pain feels like."

Here's a word for you.

Jesus knows what pain feels like.

He bore all our sickness.

Now wrap your head around that one.

All people for all time,He bore their sins,

but He also bore all theirdisease, all their sickness,

all their infirmity, all their pain.

That's why the Bible says Hewas marred beyond recognition,

more than anyone else.

Why?

Because He took it all.

He feels your pain.

He knows your pain.

And here's the best part.

He's healed your pain.

Just believe, just believe.

Well we're gonna pray.

What I want you to do is reach out.

In an act of faith, reachfor that area of the body

that's causing you pain.

We'll reach to heaven together.

Jesus says, "The kingdomof heaven has drawn nigh."

Let's pray for that kingdom to come to you

and your body right now.

Lord, we lift all whoare suffering in pain.

Anyone who has disease, anyone who has infirmity,

we declare over them thatyou have borne all that away.

And if you have taken it,

they don't have to take it anymore.

So pain be gone, disease be gone,

infirmity be gone, in Jesus' name.

There's someone, your name is Helen,

you're suffering with gallstones.

You have extraordinary pain.

God's taken it all away from you.

Those gallstones are dissolved right now.

Someone else named Len,you have a kidney stone

in your left kidney and God's healed that.

He's dissolved it, He's taken it all away.

Ashley, God's given you.

- I believe someone'swatching with some type of

nerve condition, to whereit literally sends like

just weird feelingsthroughout your entire body,

especially your feet.

So God is healing that for you right now.

I just declare healingfrom the top of your head

to the soles of your feet inJesus' name, receive that.

- There's someone who'ssuffering chronically

with a deterioration to the nerve sheath.

I don't know what that is.

You know what that is,

'cause that's what thedoctors have told you.

And God is healing that.

All the tremors are leaving you right now.

You're being completely restored,

a new nervous systemfor you, in Jesus' name.

Amen and amen.

If you've been healed, let us know!

Give us a call.

1-800-700-7000

Here's a verse from Kings.

"Thus says the Lord, theGod of your father, David."

"I have heard your prayer."

"I have seen your tears."

"Behold!"

"I will heal you."

God bless.We'll see you again.
