Missouri Woman Dies, Goes to Heaven, and Comes Back with Mission to 'Bring Home as Many as We Can' Read Transcript

- Well last September, CharlotteHolmes had an experience

that changed her life forever.

While in the hospital, shedied and went to heaven.

- That's right.

And Charlotte describes what she saw

as more beautiful than she ever imagined

and she is now sharing her amazing story

with the world.

And Charlotte joins us now via Skype.

Welcome to "Prayer Link," Charlotte.

- Thank you, I'm glad to be here.

- Well last September, you were in the hospital

because you had problemswith high blood pressure.

Tell us about that.

- Well, I had been strugglingwith my blood pressure

for several years.

I had had a stroke abouteight years ago and

my blood pressure, Iwent to my heart doctor,

and my blood pressure

was 234 over 134

and they put me in the hospital,

told me I wasn't coming home.

So I went over to the hospitaland I was there for about

three days and

they come in to give me a sponge bath,

change everything, so thelittle nurse was helping me

'cause I was hooked up toso many wires and stuff.

My husband was standing there.

We've been married almost 50 years.

And he was standing there and he said,

"All of a sudden, youjust fell over in bed,"

he said,

"Your eyes were wideopen and they were set,"

and he said,

"I thought, Mom,

"what is going on?"

And he said he looked at thenurse and the nurse said,

"She's not breathing."

Of course immediately, they called a code

and they come rushing in.

Then he said,

"All I could do is backup in a corner and think,

"I'm not bringing you home this time, Mom.

"I'm not bringing you home."

And just a few--

I come above my body.

When I was above my body, I looked down.

I could see Danny in the corner.

I could see 12 nurses, I couldsee the person on top of me

doing chest compressions.

I did not fear, I didnot have any of that,

I just felt contented.

I was amazed that I could see this.

But just in a split of a second,

and when God says he's coming back

in the blink of an eye,

oh, I believe that he is.

I smelled the most beautifulflowers I've ever smelt

in my life.

There is no flowers on this earth

that smells like that.

Then I almost immediatelyfrom what I can tell,

I heard music.

I love music.

I love gospel music, I love country music,

I just love music.

But you see, music enters in the spirit.

God loves it when we'resinging his praise.

But I heard the music andagain, I was like amazed.

And all of a sudden, I opened my eyes

and I knew.

I knew I wasn't home.

I knew I had gone to my heavenly home.

- Charlotte,

you say you told usthat family and friends

who had passed away were there,

that they greeted you, including the baby

that you had miscarried many years before.

Tell us about that.

- Like I said, I woke up in heaven

and I seen the trees, andthe flowers, and everything.

And it was swaying with the music of

the praise that the angelsand the people there.

Then I seen the pearlygates and yep, they're gold.

And I looked and there stood my family.

My dad, my mom, my sister,my best friend, her son,

my cousin that was like a brother,

(audio cuts out)

But then there was somany more behind them,

all my friends, all my family,

the saints of old.

Ugh.

I'm telling you it was...

There's no words to express.

I looked and I could se--

they were all waving at melike they were so excited

I was home.

And I can remember thinking,

"How did they know?

"How did they know I was coming home?"

God's like,

"Charlotte's coming home today.

"Y'all come on down."

I don't know, but there they stood.

Now I had yet to enter the gates

so I was on the outside of the gates.

And I can remember thinking,

my mom, and my dad, andmy sister had been sick.

All of a sudden, they looked young.

There was no glasses, they didn't wear glasses.

My cousin that had had aleg cut off had both legs.

They looked young.

They looked like theywere in their thirties,

early thirties, vibrant.

And then at the feet of mymom and dad was this toddler,

this child, and I can--

I thought,

"Who's that?"

And I heard the voice.

You know, we all know,if we're Christians,

we know God's voice.

We know when it's him.

And I heard him say to me,

"That's your child."

My child?

See, I'd lost a little boy

at five and a half months.

Of course back then, theydidn't let you hold 'em,

they didn't let you bury 'em.

When he come out, I could seethe hair on his little head.

But I had such

depression because I didn'tget to hold that child.

But when I look at this childin front of my mom and dad,

it's a toddler.

And I said,

"God, how's that possible?"

- Charlotte, let me interrupt.

It's so amazing, your story is just...

It's just so amazingI'm just almost in tears

because of something that really confirms

something that the Lord showed me

when my mother went hometo be with the Lord.

He showed me in a visionthat she was greeted

at the gate by peoplewho had passed before her

and I saw them greetingher and embracing her

and she was like,

"I'm finally home."

So that really resonateswith me and I'm so grateful

for you sharing that.

You know, God did let youknow that you have a job

once you did return to earth.

Explain what he called you.

- As I was standing therelooking at my family,

I seen this bright lightand I knew that was God.

I knew it.

I could not see his face andI've had several people ask me,

"Did you not see him?"

I said,

"No, I had yet to enter the gates."

But I can looked back andI seen my family on earth

and they were crying.

And I thought,

"But God,

"I wanted to see mygrandkids get married,"

and then all of a sudden God said,

"You have a choice.

"You can stay home or you can go back.

"But if you go back, you must tell

"of this experience.

"You must share, you mustbring home as many as you can."

He said,

"Soon and very soon,

"I'm coming to get my bride, the church.

"You have not long to do your mission."

He said,

"I send you in my name."

And I knew then

and you know, when I did comeback and that's a long story

but when I did come back, I thought,

"People are gonna think I'm crazy."

But you see, God gave me that mission.

He gave it to me.

And I couldn't help but share.

Heaven is more than what we even think.

Heaven is more beautifulthan what you can imagine.

And praise God, he's given us a chance

to share our stories.

To share our experience,to share God's love.

We have got to bringhome as many as we can.

- Charlotte, that is...

Wow, what a mission.

Thank God you did come back,we're so glad that you did

so we could hear the storyand share it with others.

And I know you're gonna keep sharing it.

We just wish you great health

until the Lord takes youhome and bless your family

and stay safe during this pandemic.

And again, thanks for being with us

today on "The Prayer Link."
