- And welcome back to the broadcast.
In the midst of a viral pandemic,
who do you turn to for help?
Oak Hills Church Pastor Max Lucado
is author of the book"Anxious About Nothing."
What a great title.
He says, at a time likethis, we need to make
the intentional decisionto speak God's truth.
Lucado posted an amazing video on YouTube,
sharing his wisdom and praying Psalm 91
over our nation and the world.
Let's pray with him.
- Lord God, we who dwell in the secret
place of the Most High, we will abide
under the shadow of the Almighty,
and we will say of Youthat You are our refuge,
You are our fortress, You are our God,
and in You we will trust.
You will deliver us fromthe snare of the fowler.
You will deliver us fromthe perilous pestilence.
You will cover us with Your feathers.
Under Your wings we shall take refuge.
Your truth, Your truth shallbe our shield and our buckler.
And we will not be afraidof the terror by night,
nor of the arrow thatflies by day, look at this,
nor of the pestilencethat walks in darkness,
nor of the destructionthat lays waste at noonday.
And skipping over to verse nine.
We have made You and are seekingto make You, Almighty God,
our refuge, the MostHigh our dwelling place,
for we know that in thatplace, no evil shall befall us,
nor shall any plaguecome near our dwelling.
You have given Your angels charge over us
to keep us in all our ways.
They shall bear us up, lest we dash
our foot against a stone.
It's a beautiful psalm, isn't it?
Oh, my friend, let's just be strong.
Let's take this one day at a time.
Again, let's feed our faithso that our fears will starve,
because if we feed ourfears, our faith will.
- What a beautiful prayer.
"Let's feed our faithand starve our fears."
