- Christmas is the season of invitation.
And sure, you're invitedto all the parties,
concerts, and the specialChristmas service.
But there's a whole lot moreto Christmas than just that.
We're invited to relive thestory of Mary and Joseph.
We're invited to witness the miracle
of God coming to this Earth as a baby.
And we're invited to meet the Christ Child
as if for the first time.
The Psalm calls us, "Oh, comelet us worship and bow down.
"Let us kneel beforethe Lord, our Savior."
That Psalm is echoedat the birth of Jesus.
When the Wise Men find Mary and her child,
the Bible says they bowdown and worship Him.
So don't think of thisseason as just a time
for presents and parties and extra music.
But think of it as an invitation,
a chance to prepare for the coming baby,
as if for the first time.
