- It's not Christmas just yet!

- It's always Christmas in my heart.

- Okay.

- Hey, I was justthinking, do you know how

Jesus is God's son?

- Yeah.

- And Joseph helped raise him?

- Yeah, so?

- Do you think Joseph everyfelt weird about raising

God's son, or did he totallytrust God through it all?

(spring boinging)

(air whooshing)

- You know, I bet Josephwas scared out of his mind

when he found out he wasgonna be raising God's son.

- Really?

- Yeah!

The Bible doesn't talk awhole lot about Joseph,

but we do get to see a bit ofhis perspective in Matthew 1.

- Oh, yo, yo, can we act it out?

- Sure.

- Sweet, I'm gonna get the props.

- If you'd like to followalong your Superbook Bible app,

we'll be reading Matthewchapter 1, verses 18 through 25.

(upbeat piano music)

- I know Mary and I aresupposed to get married,

but she's having a baby!

How can I marry somebodythat's having a baby?

Is she already married?

Oh, I'm so confused!

(sighs) I'm gonna have ahard time sleeping now.

(yawns) How can I marrysomebody that's having a baby?

(harp music plays)

(bell chimes)

- (snores)

- Psst, Joseph!

Joseph!

(sad horn sounds) Joseph!

- (mumbles) Whoa!

- Oh, good, you're awake!

- What are you?

- Seriously?

(bell chimes) I'm an angel!

- Oh, yeah, I see it now.

- Joseph, I know you'reconcerned about marrying Mary,

but don't worry, and be merry!

Because Mary isn't married yet.

- She's not?

- Of course not, she's marrying you!

- But she's having a baby.

- That baby is the son of God.

- The what?

- The son of God!

- What?!

- You should name him Jesus.

He's going to save theworld from their sins.

- Okay.

- You okay, Joseph?

You look a little shaken!

- Well of course I'm shaken!

I'm supposed to be responsible for the

care and wellbeing of the son of God!

- You don't have to worry too much,

he's going to be perfect!

Plus, you won't be raising him alone.

- I won't?

- No, you'll have Mary with you!

You know, 'cause you'regoing to marry her!

- That's right!

I'm gonna marry Mary,and together we're gonna

take care of the son of God.

Um, what did you say to name him again?

- Jesus: his name means "God saves".

- Well that's fitting.

- Very.

So you good?

- I think so.

- Good, now wake up and go tell Mary.

- Wake up, what youmean to...(bell chimes)

(harp music plays)

- Whoa, what a crazy dream!

I gotta tell Mary!

(upbeat piano music)(applause)

- I'm glad Joseph chose toobey God by marrying Mary

and helping to raise Jesus.
