IS IT OKAY TO WEAR A RING OR BRACELET THAT HAS THE DESCRIPTION OF A TALISMAN? I'VE LOST A DESIRE TO ACTUALLY READ THE BIBLE DAILY. AM I ON THE WRONG TRACK? Read Transcript

- Well, time for your questionsand some honest answers.

Pat, Lisa asks, "Is it okayto wear a ring or bracelet

"that has the description of a talisman?"

- We've got a definition on that thing.

The Hermetic Order of theGolden Dawn says quote,

"A talisman is defined as a magical figure

"charged with a force whichit is intended to represent

"is supposed to give power, energy, and specific benefits.

"A talisman is a word takenfrom the Greek telesma,

"meaning an object of an idea

"that completes another to make it whole."

The answer is it's magic, don't wear it, okay.

All right.

- This is Sherry who says, "I got married

"when I was 17 years old,and I committed adultery,

"so we got divorced.

"Then I married the manthat I had cheated with.

"After that, we gaveour lives to the Lord,

"and now, we're filled withthe Holy Spirit, or Holy Ghost.

"So, are we living in adultery?"

(laughing)

- I love those questions,

like how in the world can I answer it?

Are we living...

She's divorced.

But she was divorced onaccount of her adultery.

- Her adultery, but then they married

and then they came to Christ.

- They got remarried.

They say they're filledwith the Holy Spirit,

so apparently the HolySpirit didn't object

to what you were doing.

You know, the statement isyou can't unscramble eggs.

And I do believe that ina situation like yours,

if you and your spouse are living for God,

you're filled with the Holy Spirit,

you have renounced whateveryou were doing before,

there was evil.

I think if I were you,I would enjoy your life

and live for God, and letthe past be behind you.

That's what I would think, okay?

- 'Kay, this is Denise who says,

"I was saved in 1990, Iwas like a sponge for years

"reading and soaking up the word of God.

"I no longer have a desire to read.

"I do enjoy listening todifferent ministers' sermons

"and taking notes.

"Am I falling away?

"Is it okay to listen and take notes

"and still receive the word of God?"

- Well, you know, somepeople like to read.

I'm a voracious reader.

I read literally hundredsof books, I mean hundreds.

Not to mention writing a few.

- [Terry] And that was on Monday.

(laughing)

- That's right.

(laughing)

But you know, if you wannalisten to sermons, I mean,

you aren't back slidingbecause you're listening

instead of reading.

I mean, you know, (mumbling).
