came when Republicanshinted multiple times

during questioning of LieutenantColonel Alexander Vindman

that they believe he might be one

of the whistleblower's sources.

- I spoke to two individualswith regards to providing

some sort of readout of the call.

- Vindman testified oneof them was George Kent,

but when asked a questionabout the second person:

- What agency was this individual from?

- [Chairman Schiff] If Icould interject here, we don't

want to use these proceedings.- It's our time, Chair.

- [Chairman Schiff] I know, but we need to

protect the whistleblower.

- [Abigail] Democrat objections leading

Republicans to this question:

- You have said, eventhough no one believes you,

you have said you don't knowwho the whistleblower is,

so how is this outing thewhistleblower to find out

who this individual is?

- [Abigail] Both Vindmanand Jennifer Williams,

an aide to Vice President Mike Pence,

acknowledged concerns while listening to

the July 25th phone call.

- Without hesitation, I knewthat I had to report this

to the White House Counsel.

- [Abigail] Vindman testified,however, he didn't view

moving the call to a secureserver as anything nefarious.

- This is definitely not unprecedented.

- [Abigail] Both morning witnesses denied

Trump's accusationsthey are Never-Trumpers.

- It certainly surprised me.

I was not expecting tobe called out by name.

- I'd call myself never partisan.

- [Abigail] CongressmanJohn Ratcliffe questioned

Speaker Pelosi's claims thisinvestigation is about bribery.

- The word bribery appears

in these 3,500 pages exactly one time,

and ironically it appearsnot in a description

of President Trump's alleged conduct.

It appears in the description of

Vice President Biden's alleged conduct.

- The reason we don't ask witnesses

that are fact witnessesto make the judgment

about whether a crime ofbribery has been committed

or whether, more significantlywhat the Founders had in mind
