- Well, you ready for some questions?
- I don't think so, but go ahead.
- Well, we're going anyway,so buckle your seatbelt,
here we come.
This is Lynn who says,"The women's Bible study
"I attend seems to be getting off course.
"I understand everyone has an opinion
"but some of them are new age,
"almost anything goes types of opinions.
"I think it's up to theleader to get things back
"on track and biblicallycondemn these types of opinions,
"which she doesn't do.
"Any advice on what Ishould do is appreciated."
- Well, Lynn, the numberone advice I would give you
is please don't condemnsomebody for their opinion.
That's not going to lead you anywhere.
I like to say, "I've neverargued anyone into heaven."
What you should do is number one, rejoice.
You have people that are gathered together
to study the Bible, sothey've agreed to do that.
And if they have anopinion, well just ask 'em,
"Well, what do you thinkabout this Bible verse?
"We're here to study the Bible,
"what does the Bible say about that?"
And get them to ask the questionabout their own opinion.
One of the hardest things to do is
to change somebody's opinion,so don't try to do that.
Let them do that on their own.
What you're supposed to do is be a witness
and what are you supposed to witness?
Witness the faith and lovethat is in Christ Jesus.
That always works.
Whatever doctrine they'repursing, is it working for them?
What you've got is something that works.
Jesus loves to heal, he lovesto deliver, he loves to save,
he loves to be our answerfor every human need.
So bring that to bear and bringthat into this Bible study.
Don't worry about whatthe leader should be doing
or not doing, just bein an effective witness.
- Good answer. (clearing throat)
This is Bruce.- You got a (mumbles)
- Yeah, yeah, beautiful.
- Even if I wasn't ready,I'm doing all right.
- You get a 10.
(laughing)
Bruce says, "I pray to ourheavenly Father for blessings
"for my family and friendsevery day and night.
"I ask Him for guidancethroughout the day and night.
"I ask Him for His helpwith my health issue.
"I thank Him for allthat He provides for me,
"but I still have a health issue.
"Do I ask too much of them?
"Is there a limit on what I can ask for?"
- Bruce, don't start listingall the things you're doing.
- [Terry] Yeah.
- That's not gonna get you anywhere.
Answers to prayer come from belief.
God always honors faith,He's looking for that.
And He's right there.
Jesus has already provided theanswer to every human need.
He's already provided for your healing.
Start asking, are you asking amiss?
That's scriptural.
Are you asking inaccordance with scripture?
And prayers for healingare always in accordance
with scripture, so yougot a yes on that one.
Are you asking the right way?
If you're saying, "God,why won't you heal me,"
His answer is
"Well, what part of thecross don't you understand?"
If that's it, start praying,"Lord, help my unbelief.
"I want to believe,
"I want to receive what youalready have provided for me.
"Help my unbelief," and see if you get
a breakthrough from that.
It's not about your diligence in prayer,
it's about your belief.
If you have problems believing,
get help for that and pray for that.
