- [Julie Stahl] A bigwelcome party awaited

200 new immigrants, who arrived in Israel

to make the Jewish state their home.

- It's so crazy, thepeople here waiting for us.

The party, the music,

the entire joy of this.

It's magic.

- I'm always excited whenI see new immigrants coming

on aliyah to (foreign language),to their ancient homeland.

- Isaac Herzog is Chairmanof the Jewish agency,

the organization responsible for aliyah,

or immigration to Israel.

- They're all here in one big event,

which epitomizes the greatlight of the Jewish people

in their return to their ancient homeland.

- These are the firstarrivals on special flights

this summer.

They came from France,Russia, and Latin America.

- This year we'll have 30,000immigrants from 40 countries.

It's an incredible story.

- Among the newcomers areBrazilian and Argentinian singles.

- I'm an actress, so I wantto try to work with that.

I'm also a makeup artist,

so I came with that idea.

- (foreign language) HereI'm going to study Hebrew

in Kibbutz Ma'agan Michael.

And then I'll be in thearmy for a year and a half.

And then, like allIsraelis, I will travel,

and then I'll return tostudy music in Jerusalem.

- First I want to really learn Hebrew,

so I'm going to do Ulpan,very intensive right now.

Then I will start searchingjob as a scientist.

- They came for different reasons.

- When I was little, I wasliving here with my family

for awhile, like four months,

and I fell in love withthis country and the people

and the culture, so I alwayswant to come back here.

- The economic situation is really great.

Okay, neighborhood countriesare not the best thing,

but I don't have toworry when I walk through

the streets really here.

- I came to Israel becauseI'm a Zionist, I love Israel,

and I'm hoping to make it my home.

- Abraham Chevelen, from Ohio,

has been here for just one week.

He came back to the airportto welcome the newcomers.

- I'm learning someHebrew back in America.

Thankfully I'm very good at languages.

I speak Chinese fluently.

I plan on doing businesswith China in Israel.

If I can do Chinese, I canhopefully do Hebrew, right?

- Many would see theirarrival as the fulfillment

of God's Word, when he saidhe would regather Israel

and plant them in their land.
