- Hey guys my name is Daniel Richie

and I want to talk to youjust for a couple of minutes

about what it just means tobe different in this world.

And if there is something Iknow it's being different.

Everywhere I go peoplenotice my two empty sleeves,

and if I'm at the grocery store getting

cans of Ragu off the shelf with my toes.

Or at a burger joint eatinga burger with my toes

people stop and stare say rude things,

and that's a weight sometimes,

that's a burden thatI don't enjoy bearing,

but what it also meansis people want to ask me

about what makes me different and

it gives me an opportunity to tell

people the hope that I have in Jesus.

And Jesus says in John 17: Hisdisciples that the world is

going to hate us becauseof the way that we live.

But his prayer for us is not that

we'll be taken out of this world,

but that we remain init, to be faithful to him

to show the world whatit means to follow him.

In such a way that people ask questions

Will we have to stick out by design,

so embrace the difference,embrace sticking out.

Because we're different by design

and that's exactly the way God wants it.
