- [Chris] 40 years after Iran
became an Islamic Republic,
the world is standing up tothis major global threat.
Vice President Mike Pence andSecretary of State Mike Pompeo
joined other world powers to confront
Iran's growing influencein a major conference.
Pompeo says there's no peacewithout confronting Iran.
- You can't achieve peace and stability
in the Middle Eastwithout confronting Iran,
it's just not possible.
They're a maligned influence in Lebanon,
in Yemen, in Syria, in Iraq.
- [Chris] Just this week,
Iran threatened to level Tel Aviv.
Israeli Prime MinisterBenjamin Netanyahu responded,
"That would be the endof the Islamic Republic."
(speaking in foreign language)- I don't ignore the threats
of the Iranian regime, butneither am I intimidated by them.
If this regime makes the awful mistake
of trying to destroy Tel Aviv and Haifa,
it will not succeed.
However, this would bethe last anniversary
of the revolution that they celebrate.
They should take this into account.
- [Chris] Iran at firstdismissed the conference,
but when a deadly terror attack
killed dozens of Iran'sRevolutionary Guards,
the regime suggested theworld powers are behind it.
Is it no coincidence thatIran is hit by terror
on the very day that Warsaw circus begins?
Netanyahu said theconference marked a first,
with Israel standing alongside
its Arab neighbors in the Middle East.
- Yesterday was ahistorical turning point.
In a room of some 60 foreign ministers
and representatives ofdozens of governments,
an Israeli prime ministerand the foreign ministers
of leading Arab countries stood together
and spoke with unusualforce, clarity, and unity,
against the common threatof the Iranian regime.
- Those attending the conference in Poland
want to stop Iran'sexpansion in the Middle East
and blunt the leading sponsorof terror in the world.
