Prayer Intercessor Mary Colbert Discusses the Midterm Elections Read Transcript

- You've heard talk about a blue wave

during the midterm elections.

Then there's been talk about a blue blip.

Now there's discussionabout a red tsunami.

Mary Colbert, the Intercessor

with the National Prayer Movement,

joins us now by Skype todiscuss the prayer movement

and prophetic outlook surroundingthe midterm elections.

Welcome, Mary.

- Hi, I'm glad to be here.

- First of all, talk aboutthe National Prayer Movement.

What's going on?

- Well, I tell you what.

You know, Hillary did awhole tour with a book

and she called it What Happened?

Well, Hillary, God happened,

and He's about to happen again.

I did a national prayercall during the 2016,

and they did a movie aboutit called the Trump Prophesy,

and by the way, that movie did phenomenal.

It was number one in allChristian media, sold out.

We were very excited aboutthe results of the movie.

I thought I was done.

You know, I did the 2016.

We had over 100,000 peopleon the call during that time,

and I really thought it was,you know, I had done my job.

And my husband, as we gotcloser to the election,

he said, "Mary," he said,"I really feel, you know,

"that you need to do this again."

And I thought, ho ho ho, I'mgonna submit to my husband.

So last time it was through the Lord,

this time I'll submit to his wishes.

And I'm so glad that hedid because we started

the prayer movement on Labor Day,

just like I did in 2016,

and during the time of the prayer,

I do prayer before the prayer.

The Holy Spirit gave me a strategy.

He said, Mary I want youto do a 50-day of jubilee.

You're gonna do a 50-day

State jubilee.

And then I thought, okay Lord,

what do you want me to do?

And then he goes I want you to call forth

the intercessors from eachstate across this country

to stand on behalf of their state.

See God's given unto us the authority

where we live.

That authority's given to those in Ohio.

I live in Florida.

So the authority given to me and believers

is here in Florida.

So the principle was wheretwo or three are gathered,

in my name and asked, I will do it.

So what I did is I startedthe prayer 50 days ago.

Today was day 50.

And I started with Alabama, Alaska.

And we went through each state and we had

between three and fourpeople from each state

praying and decreeing and declaring

and folks, I have to tell you something,

you talk about power and anointing?

I mean the anointing of God

on some of these callsthat would come through.

The prayer of a declaring and decreeing

that Jesus is Lord over each state.

This is what the Lord showed me.

If I can, for just a minute,

It's II Chronicles, 7:14:

God gave us a promise.

It says if my people,

now it's interesting that the Lord would

start that promise with an if.

If my people.

This country is not inthe state that it's in

because of the unbeliever.

It's because of the believer.

He said if my people.

Doesn't say the world, said my people.

Who are called by my name,

will humble themselves.

Humble themselves means fast.

So fasting is a part of humbling yourself.

You deny yourself.

And pray and seek my faith.

Now it's interestinghe says seek my faith.

As I preach around and I teach,

is with God all things are possible.

But without you, you wait.

I'll say that again.

With God all things are possible,

but without you, you wait.

- And Mary what areyou advising Christians

to do now in relation to the midterms?

- Well we've been doing our praying,

and of course faith without works is dead.

It's now important that they vote.

But this is the point

I wanted to make about II Chronicles.

That seek their faith,

turn from their wicked ways.

Now I ask the Lord,

I said Lord, turn from their wicked ways.

Tell me what you mean by that.

Turn from what?

And he says I've alreadytold you in your Word.

And in Mark it talks about where Jesus

talks about the parables of the talent.

It gives 100, 50, 60,then he gives one to one.

And he goes to that one and he says,

what did you do with theone thing I gave you?

And that's what the HolySpirit's showing me.

What are you gonna do if the one thing

God gave you, which isyour life, your voice.

Your voice.

And he said I hear you're a harsh man,

so I hid it.

I didn't do anything.

I didn't want to get involved.

The Bible says Jesus said

you wicked, lazy servant.

God sees laziness as wickedness.

And so as the people of God repent

for being lazy.

Lazy.

Not doing their part.

Which is what?

Vote.

Getting involved.

We have to get back involved in every

area of life.

Education.

Politics.

We've seen politics as being something

dirty and we didn't want to have

anything to do with it.

God says no.

It's because the view evil abounds.

When good men do nothing, evil abounds.

- And Mary real quick.

What are your thoughts on a red tsunami

happening instead of the blue wave

in the midterms?

- I'm gonna tell you something.

God's about to do exceedingly,

abundantly, above allwe could ask or think.

This is going to be a red tsunami.

The people are energized.

The people are excited.

And it's because theywant to do their part.

Not just for this country,

but as a voice representingthe Holy Spirit.

In the Earth.

Right now.

It's gonna be huge.

Huge.

- All right, Mary Colbert.

- Thank you.
