has been a wild ride,

from back-up to starter to Superbowl MVP.

and that's a win.

suffered an injury, Folesstepped up to take the Eagles

to their first everSuperbowl championship.

- [Foles] Have an opportunityto be a part of a great team

and win a Superbowl doesn't seem real,

but you're holding a Superbowl ring,

but it's like, you know,it's not everything.

- [Reporter] As a man of faith,

this Superbowl MVP makes sure his focus

is on something greater than football.

- Many people win awardsor even win the Superbowl

that say I feel like thereshould be more, but there's not.

I'm holding my daughter,then I go hoist the trophy,

and just thinking my greatest achievement

was giving my life to Christ

and my relationship with Christ.

This isn't gonna fulfill me.

I've already beenfulfilled because of that.

- [Reporter] At thestart of the 2018 season,

Eagles have hopes of a Superbowl repeat.

- [Foles] The Eagles fans want us

to go out there and play well.

We want to play well.

Though 2017 and the Superbowl were

something that we'll always remember,

that we'll always be grateful for

and it'll live forever inPhiladelphia Eagle history,

you know, life goes on.

And that's just sort of how the sport is.

It's a humbling sport.

- [Reporter] With CarsonWentz getting healthy,

the starting QB role inPhilly is up for grabs,

and the MVP champ'sstarting job is in question.

- [Foles] I think the biggestchallenge is off-season.

With going through that it was honestly

the month after the Superbowlwhen the Eagles came out

and basically put me onthe trade box and said

hey if you offer up two first round picks

we'll be open to trading Nick.

And then you think wellI can be a starter.

I've proven that.

And then you get sort of distracted.

But that's when staying rooted in Christ,

going through it, trustingHim, but struggling.

Sometimes I struggle.

And then just being ready.

Getting the heart readyto go back TO Philly

to be a back-up.

- [Reporter] Regardless,off the field he'll continue

to be a strong spiritualleader for his teammates.

- [Foles] Life's meant to be lived

and fellowship to be lived in one another.

For me, you know, arelationship with Christ,

that's a relationship.

It's not a religion, it's not rules.

It's living in the momentand just grateful for it.

- [Reporter] No matterwhere this eagle lands

in the 2018 season.

- [Foles] God always has aplan, you just gotta trust it.
