with that last tease.
God sends a friend request,(laughing)
which is interesting.
- I like that, I think we all
need that friend request.- Interesting premise.
- Indeed.
- What do you think of it?
- I like what I've seen so far.
I've been pursuing this from since May
when they announced they were doing it.
They sent us an exclusive, closer look
at the series and promised us a set visit.
That's coming as well whichI'm looking forward to.
But it looks really good.
The premise is great.
Even to the story line.
This is actually the son of a pastor
and you hear the story abouthow the pastor loses his wife
and he loses his mom and essentially,
that sends him over the edge.
- [Gordon] He loses his faith.
- And he loses his faith as a result
and how many of us cantestify to having things
that tried our faith and really shook us.
Gratefully, preferablymany had not been shaken
but this does shake him to the point that
he becomes an outspoken radio host,
essentially doing all he can to prove
that there is indeed no God and that God
makes his purpose--- It didn't work out my way.
- So therefore, there can't be a God.
- And wondering, how can Dad,
you're gonna be a ministerand continue to lead a,
how can you do that?
So, it's a great premise.
Looks good, getting great reviews.
Premieres September 30th.
It'll be on Sunday nights on CBS.
- Lots of talking points in that
and it's curious lookingat what's coming out

You might get the impression that we're
a Christian nation.
- Indeed.- What's going on?
- I think many people aresearching and looking for answers
and Hollywood is responding saying,
"OK, let's explore that."
The very first movie that we looked at,
An Interview With God, that'salso getting rave reviews

People will be able to see itfor three nights next month

Same thing happens in this film as we see
in the series that's coming to CBS.
This guy goes to fight war in Afghanistan
and his life is turned upside down.
Then he comes home andeverything is falling apart.
He's trying to make a name for himself

Now let me ask you a few things.
- Your time is short.
- Yeah, indeed.
- Which is not somethingyou wanna hear from God.
- Absolutely.
- But something thatis true for all of us.
I'm getting the impressionthat the writers
and producers are Christian.
Is that true?
- From what I know ofthose that I have read,
yes, they are people of faith who've done
not just faith stories buthave done a number of stories
and established goodrelationships with networks
and movie houses.
So, they've proven that they've been able
to tell a good story andnow, it's opened the door
for them to be able to tell the story
that's truly on their hearts
and that's beautiful to see as well.
- Yeah.
- 'Cause it's well done fromall the reviews I've seen
of both of these.
Critics love the great indepthness of the storytelling
in both of these, sothat's a good thing to see.
- OK, so we need to tune in.
- Yes, please.

If we do that, they'll keep doing it
and it'll come back.
- There'll be more.
There'll be more.- Yes indeed.
- We dictate.
- I know how hard itis to get that entree,
to get to the point where you can prove
faith films, series done properly
can really generate an audience.
- Absolutely.
- That's obviously whatthe network is looking for.
- Yes, you got it, money.
- Steph Curry getting off the court
and now a producer.
- Yes, he is looking at into film making
and television making aswell and the backbone of his
company is, he wants to talk about faith,
he wants to talk about sports, and fun family friendly
story lines, that's what he's doing.
He's already working, Ithink on an Easter film,
a Christmas film, and he'seven correlated a series
of his own on YouTube that'sfive minutes away from home
where he gets to talk to people
and explore anything that's on his mind,
but faith, sports, and familyare the driving three points
for his company Unanimous, which is partnered with Sony,
to develop some entertainment.
- How'd he get the deal with Sony?
- He went looking and thepeople who he reached out to
had relationships with Sony and Sony
has shown from theiraffirmed films, brand,
that this is somethingthat they're after as well
and Steph Curry has a very great brand.
He is outspoken about his faith.
People love not just him, but his family
and they know that's somethingthat will bring them viewers.
So they're willing to go ahead.
He's got two partnerswith him in Unanimous.
One of them had already hada relationship with Sony.

but Sony was the one that worked for them.
- Alright, well Tim Allen is back.
- Yes.
- I hear he's on FOX.
- Yeah, what network again?
(laughing)
It's on FOX.
- What should we expect?
- You should expect more of the same.
I think what's beautifulabout Last Man Standing
coming back is it truly isback because of the audience,
not just Tim Allen, andhe says in interviews
about bringing the show back.
When the show wascanceled, there was outcry.
He says he went home and figuredeverybody forgot about it,
that OK, it was good, itwould win its time slot
on ABC, but they decidednot to continue with it.
That was also because they didn't own it.
They were buying it.
FOX actually owned it, sonow FOX can deliver it.
But it's only 'cause of the fans.
- FOX is getting readyto get owned by Disney.
- Yeah, so they'll get it back.

Didn't even think about that.
But fans demanded it andthat's why FOX brought it back.

- [Gordon] It's a solid R, right?
- [Efrem] Yes.
- [Gordon] Lot of blood and guts.
- Yes, what I like about the film
is what he talks about isthe fact that his character
develops a nice bond with this young man
who's in desperate need ofa father figure in his life
so that he can turn his life around.
And Denzel, to my surprise, had never done a sequel.
This is his first sequel insome 30 years in the business.
He's never done a sequel.- He's never done a sequel?

Hard to believe.
- How has he made it in Hollywood?
- That talent, ya know, hedoesn't have to rely upon
bringing back the same story regurgitated,
but he also said hesaid yes to this because
it was a good story and because the team.
He likes to work with the group of people
who are working on this film.
So, he came back and he did it,
but the mentor relationshipbetween him, Miles is the
young man, that character in the film.
- When does it open?
- That opened actually last week.
- It's already out?
- It's number one at the box office.
- Number one?

Authorities asked the public for help

- No loving father is goingto want to even believe
that his child is capable of crimes,
much less something that is so horrendous,

The Lord gave me thestrength at that moment

which I did.

- I would think giving up your son,
which was real, would merit support

- All my business clients just went away

We lost the home, we lost our savings,
ending up on welfare, going through bankruptcy
and devastation, all the while knowing
that we did what was right.
- [Narrator] They alsostruggled emotionally.
- I felt like a darkdepression just settling down,
the kind that's debilitating.
- Depression, severe anxiety,
post-traumatic stress, all those things
were going on.
I was just a wreck!
It was hell and I didask the Lord many times
to take me home.
Please Lord, this is enough.
Take me!
- [Narrator] For a time, they got help through
Christian counseling andprescription medication,
but it wasn't enough, so theKellers continued to pray
and clung to their faith.
- In the middle of thedarkness, my anchor of faith
in the Lord Jesus held.
I was being strengthenedto just live another day
and another day and another day.
- My prayer was Lord, Idon't know if you're gonna
bring me outta this or not,
but if I'm ever well from this,
and you could ever use thisto just help one person,
then as much as I don't wantto, I'm willing to stay.
- [Narrator] One morning,
Margaret woke up feeling different.
- The depression's gone.
The anxiety is gone.
The feeling of beingso traumatized is gone.
All those conditions that Ihad had were replaced with
total joy and I had such a freedom.
It was a healing, it wasa gift from the Lord.
- I reached a tippingpoint when I was able to
look in the mirror and said,"I'm not depressed anymore."
And that was very significant to me.
Since then, I have not experienced
what I would call beinga depressed person.
- [Narrator] Over time, they stabilized financially
and also found communitywith people who welcomed them
with open arms.
- Christian folks who Ihave met through the years
who are more loving and tender
than any family that I could ever know,
standing with us in prayer all this way.
- [Narrator] Today, Paulcontinues to serve his sentence
while George and Margaretrun their own ministry
and share their story of overcoming grief
everywhere they go.
- I believe I love Jesus more
through all this.
- Jesus said, "I will neverleave you, nor forsake you."
He did not lie.
When you say, "Jesus, here I am," it is enough.
He loves you so much, he isgoing to bring you through.
- He can bring you through.
No parent wants to go through this.
No parent wants to know that their child
is a criminal, has hurt other people,
has destroyed property, but here they are.
Here George and Margaret areand what did they do with this?
Well, George doessomething very courageous.
He says I have to do the right thing.
I have to go to the arson taskforce
and let them know thatI know that it's my son.
Then, everything is stripped from them
and it's curious it startedwith their church relationships.
That got taken away and then the money
got taken away, the businessclients got taken away,
bankruptcy, home, losing everything.
But through it all, God was with them.
If you're going throughthis, if you're going through
children who are rebelling, children who are prodigals,
children who have committedcrime, realize there is a God
and he is there for you.
He hasn't left you.
He hasn't forsaken you.
His ear is still tuned to your cry
and he can see you through.

Well up next, BillyGraham's daughter Anne says
it's time to get right with God.
- You cannot postpone it one more day.
It's going to be sudden,in the blink of an eye
and just like that, ya know, you'll be held accountable.
- Don't miss her powerful message
to the church today.
Stay with us.
Well last February, theworld mourned the loss
of Billy Graham and no one misses him more
than his own family.
Recently, CBN's Middle EastBureau Chief, Chris Mitchell,
met with Graham'sdaughter, Anne Graham Lotz,
in Jerusalem.
He asked Anne how the familyis handling their loss
and what she believes God issaying to the church right now.
- Well, Anne Graham Lotz,it's great, it's a privilege
to be here with you in Jerusalem.
- Thank you.
- Ya know, a lot of people are,
wonder about you and your family.
How are you doing now thatyour Dad, Billy Graham,
has gone onto heaven?
- All my life, people would say,
"Anne, where's your father?"
I would have to say I don't know,
I couldn't keep track of him.
Now they ask me where he is,I know exactly where he is.
And I know I'm going to see him
and I believe it's going to be soon.
I believe my father'sdeath was as significant
in God's timetable as hislife and I think his life
and ministry, he was God's man of the hour
to just call the world to the cross
and present the gospeland I think his death
is another call, but it's acall to get right with God
because I believe Jesusis coming and once again,
based on Matthew 24:14,Jesus said when the gospel
is preached to the wholeworld, then the end will come.
So Chris, to tell you the truth,
I have a strong sense of purpose
and my purpose, my husbandwent to heaven three years ago,
but what has carried me through then
and what is carrying throughwith my husband and my Daddy
in heaven is just a strongsense of God is here,
God is with me, God is faithful.
He still has something for me to do
or I'd be in heaven.
So I want to finish my life's purpose
and when I see Jesus face to face,
I don't want to have any regrets.
I want to live every moment of my life
as though it was the last.
- Do you think that's whatGod is saying right now
to the church and to the world?
- I think God's message of the hour
to his people, Jews and Christians,
is it's time to get right with God.
You cannot postpone it one more day.
Time is too short and thebible says it's going to come
very quickly when it happens.
It's going to be sudden,in the blink of an eye.
Just like that, ya know, you'll be held accountable.
- It seems an appropriate place to be here
because right behind usis the Mount of Olives
where he said that hewould be coming back to.
- Exactly right.
Ya know, it's very special that this is
Israel's 70th year and shewas reborn in May 14th, 1948.
I was born May 21st, 1948.
So we're the same age, yaknow, one week apart exactly.
Both of us born on the eve of Shabbat
and I believe in the 70thyear, according to Daniel,
claimed the premise fromJeremiah that the people
would be brought back incaptivity because he knew
the plans for them.
He had plans to bless themif they would seek him
with all their hearts and Daniel did
and then, in the 70th year,King Cyrus issued that decree
that they could all go home.
So, the 70th year forIsrael as Daniel prayed it,
was a time of greatblessing for God's people
and it was a time of answered prayer.
I believe that the 70 there is significant
and that God will bring great blessing
and answered prayer.
I'm humbled and honored to bea part of this celebration.
- You mention the peoplegetting right with God.
How do you want peopleto get right with God?
- I'm praying that Godwould pour out upon us
a spirit of repentanceon Jews and Christians
and in Daniel's prayer,in Daniel chapter nine,
it's very interestingthat most of his prayer is
confession of sin.
And uses plural pronounsso he's not pointing
his finger at others but he's saying
we have sinned and we're ashamed.
We haven't listened to your profits.
We haven't heeded what you've told us.
Peter said in Acts chapter three,
right after Pentecost, thatwe're to repent of our sin,
that times of refreshing may come
and that prepares the wayfor the Chris, the Messiah.
So I wonder if Jesusis delaying his coming
until his people getserious about repentance.
For myself, when God has convicted me,
I come to the cross by faith and I just
name my sin for what it is.
Don't play games withthe labels I give it,
but I call it what God calls it
and thank him that the bloodof Jesus is powerful enough
to cleanse me from any sin and all sin.
- Is that the message you, in your book
that you just wroteabout, The Daniel Prayer.
- Yes, The Daniel Prayer, and The Daniel Prayer just,
it's a serious set aside, no holes barred
I won't let you go untilyou bless me kind of prayer.
Daniel prayed undercompulsion because of the
problems in his world.
He claimed that promise in Jeremiah
and he prayed with confidencein his covenant relationship
with God.
He said I turn to the Lord, my God.
And then Daniel, whilehe was still praying,
confessing his sins, amessenger came from heaven
and said you know, "Daniel, your prayer has been heard.
"Your prayer is answeredbecause you're highly esteemed."
So we have to make sureour hearts are cleansed,
that we're right withGod and then we can pray
and in Jesus' name, we can just ask him
what he puts on our hearts to ask him for.
- If you wanna respondand do it right now,
don't let another minute go by.
If you're not right with God, get right.
Don't put it off another day.
Why live in torment when you can live
in the freedom that he so easily gives?
All we have to do is ask for it.
All we have to do is confess our sin
and he will be faithfuland just to forgive us
and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If you need help with thisprayer, we're here for you.
All you have to do iscall us, 1-800-700-7000.
Here's a word from Matthew.
"For the Son of Man will come in the glory
"of His Father with His angels,
"and then He will award eachaccording to his works."
God bless you, we'll see ya again.
