I was raised in a Christian family.

And from the time of my earliest remembrances,

I had heard the phrase, "Jesus died for our sins."

As I look back, I accepted it is a fact, although I really

had little comprehension of what it actually meant.

It seemed to me that I heard so much about the wrath of God,

and so little about the love of God.

It all just seemed so impossible,

that I finally just walked away.

I needed to try to work out my own salvation.

And I believe that every person has to do that.

It's like the old song says, you've

got to walk that lonesome valley,

you've got to go there by yourself.

Ain't nobody here going to go there for you.

Jesus said, He is the way, the truth, and the life.

No man comes to the Father except through Him.

He did not say a way, a truth, or a life.
