I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO BECAUSE I AM LOSING ALL RESPECT FOR HIM AND WONDER WHAT ELSE HE IS LYING ABOUT? IS HE IMPLYING THAT IF OUR PRAYERS ARE NOT PERSUASIVE, GOD WILL NOT HEAR OR ANSWER? IS IT WRONG TO BELIEVE IN REINCARNATION?

Welcome back to
"The 700 Club."
It's time to bring it on
with your email questions.
We're going to start with Sue's.
She says, "my husband and I
have been married for 25 years.
Lately I've caught
him lying to me,
hiding money, and buying
items he doesn't need.
I found his pay
envelope in the trash,
yet he said he
hadn't been paid yet.
He said he was given
a watch at work,
but I saw where he
met someone to buy it.
I have questioned him about
this, and he gets mad.
He is a deacon at our
church and is always
asked to lead in prayer.
I don't know what to do, because
I'm losing all respect for him
and wonder what else
he's lying about."
Woo!
Pat.
You know, well, the best
way to teach a child to lie
is to be on his case,
always prying into him,
and not leaving any privacy.
So did you do this, Johnny?
No, I didn't do that.
I mean, you know, before
long, they get used to it.
This husband may be going
through some kind of a crisis.
So you may have been on
his case all the time
and he's trying to say, I want
to have an independent life
and I'm not going to
tell you everything
I'm doing financially.
Or he's having a midlife
crisis and you've
got to get him
professional help.
I don't know which.
But one thing I recommend is
please don't stay on his case
all the time, going what'd
you do with your money?
Why'd you spend that?
I'm looking at these
credit card receipts.
And how come you
spent $20 on lunch?
I mean, you know,
let him have a life.
But he may need professional
help on this one,
because it may be he's going
into some kind of a problem.
All right.
All right.
Helena says, "a renowned
preacher wrote a book.
In it, he said that if
someone is in a trial,
he should enlist the
help of someone who
knows how to talk to God.
That troubles me.
Is he implying that if our
prayers are not persuasive,
God will not hear or answer?"
Oh, you know, like
it or not, there
are some people that have
a anointing of faith.
They just believe
God for miracles.
And when they pray,
they believe that God
is going to do something.
There are a lot
of people who pray
and they don't believe
God's going to do anything.
There's that faith killer.
Have you heard it in churches?
Oh, God, heal him,
if it be Thy will.
That's a faith killer.
You know, when I
pray, first of all,
I want to know it's God's will.
And then when you pray,
you want to proclaim it
in the name of Jesus.
And so what this
man is saying, get
somebody who has an
anointing for faith,
an anointing for healing,
and let them do the praying.
OK.
Yeah, that's
always a good idea.
PAT ROBERTSON: Amen.
All right.
Jan says, "is it wrong to
believe in reincarnation"?
You better believe it.
Reincarnation is totally
contrary to the Bible.
The Hindus talk
about [INAUDIBLE]..
They believe in a wheel of life.
You're on a wheel,
constant wheel,
and you keep coming
back in different forms.
You come back as a dung beetle.
You come back as a donkey.
You come back as a white cow.
You come back, you know--
As a squirrel.
-- as a squirrel, yeah, on
and on and on, cycle of life.
The Hindu, to believe
in that, Jesus said,
it's appointed to
a man once to die,
and after that the judgment.
Once to die, not reincarnation.
So is it wrong to believe in it?
Yes, it undercuts the
entire Christian message.
Hmm, interesting.
You just reminded me,
when I was in India--
PAT ROBERTSON: Yeah.
--that was the scripture that
I heard the Holy Spirit say
to me while I was in India.
I think the Lord was just
reminding me that that's--
[INAUDIBLE].
Yeah, that's it.
OK.
Anyway, I'm sorry.
[INTERPOSING VOICES]
No, you go ahead.
We're good.
We're out of time.
PAT ROBERTSON: Are
we out of time?
All those questions?
Didn't have many of them.
OK.
Well, thanks so much
for those questions.
We'll get to more of them later.
