We want to bring on some
of the email questions
that you have sent to us.
This is from Larry,
Pat, who says, "My wife
and I've been
Christians many years.
I lost my job because of
cutbacks almost 12 weeks ago,
and no matter how many
jobs I've applied for,
God just won't open a door.
We have no means for anything.
What's wrong with us?"
Maybe you've been
doing it the wrong way.
God's always got something good.
And the Bible says there's
no temptation taken you
but such as is common to man but
God will make a way of escape.
Now, think about what
kind of skill you have.
You and your wife pray,
what skills do we have?
What can we offer
up to the world?
What can we do?
And you look at some of these
people who've done stuff you.
You can do telephone marketing.
You can have people
working for you.
You can do a lawn care
business, for example.
I mean, there's so
many simple things.
So maybe you can
type or you can--
I mean, there are literally
hundreds and hundreds of ways.
How can I serve my
community and in the process
do something that is worthwhile?
Instead of saying, there's no
job for me will somebody else.
Make your own job, all right?
This is a viewer who says
in Matthew 27:32, Mark 15:21,
and Luke 22:26, the Bible
states that a man named
Simon was compelled to
carry the cross for Jesus.
Why do so many preachers,
movies, and books
say that Jesus
carried His cross?
Isn't that false teaching?
PAT ROBERTSON: Not really.
I mean, He started out
carrying the cross.
The cross was the cross
beam, and He was carrying it.
And along the way, apparently
from what we gather,
He stumbled and
they impressed Simon
to pick it up and carry it.
So I don't know
what false teaching.
Well, I tell you all
over and over again,
don't get so hung up
on these little things.
I mean, you know--
TERRY MEEUWSEN: Yeah.
This isn't core.
The core thing is, how
do you find salvation?
How do you know the Lord?
How does His power
work in your life?
