Every weekday, Monday through Friday,

Kellie Lane prays live on Facebook at 5:55 AM.

But she's not alone.

Her Facebook prayers reach millions of people.

NARRATOR: Dr. Kellie Lane spends every morning on Facebook,

praying for the nation.

Thank you for this day, Lord.

Thank You, God, for seeing fit to breathe new air

into our lungs.

Lord, we look forward to the blessed moments

of this day, God.

NARRATOR: Her social media videos

reach more than 45 million people every week.

But before Kellie was praying in live posts,

she was praying for a breakthrough in her own life.

Kellie was a single mom who endured heartache and abuse

in three failed marriages.

In her book, "When God is Silent,"

Kellie shares how her prayers were answered

and shows us what we can do while waiting on God

in any difficult situation.

Please welcome to the "700 Club" Kellie Lane.

It's great to have you here, Kellie.

Thank you.

You didn't always pray with the kind of certainty and power

that you pray with today.

There was a time in your life where

you made some foolish choices.

Talk about that.

For many, many years, I rarely prayed, rarely read my Bible,

and just didn't seek God and just multiple failed marriages,

just a lot of bad decisions.

I even contemplated suicide, just all types of things.

My life was just in disarray.

Would you have considered yourself

a Christian at that time?

I thought I was.

TERRY MEEUWSEN: You know what, isn't that so interesting

that we do that?

We have all of this available to us from the Lord.

We give ourselves His name, but we don't walk the walk.

DR. KELLIE LANE: No, and I even sang in the choir.

I mean, I was a member of the church, sang in the choir.

But no, I didn't know God then.

I didn't know Jesus then.

You have, as was mentioned in the piece we just watched,

endured some real losses and things that any of us

would have considered personally failures

in your life, bankruptcy, some divorces.

You had, well, anyway, several things that you went through.

DR. KELLIE LANE: Foreclosure.

Foreclosure.

Both my parents died.

I mean, all of these things are very intense, deep things.

During that time, you felt like God was silent.

So how did you keep on keeping on?

I'm a very inquisitive person by nature.

And I literally began to do internet searches on

does God really answer prayer.

I really did.

And somewhere along the way, I just

felt like that's why I titled the book, "When God is Silent,"

because I was praying but it just seemed like He was not

answering my prayers.

And somewhere along the way, I began to say, you know,

I'm not the only one that feels like God is not answering.

But what I found out was that it's a lot about positioning,

getting serious about God, developing

an intimate relationship with Him.

And when you do that--

TERRY MEEUWSEN: As in praying at 5:55 in the morning.

Yeah, but I was praying at midnight then.

I was up at midnight.

That's the midnight hour.

I was desperate.

Because when you're desperate, you

will do what it takes to get answers.

So what was the turning point in your life, Kellie?

After my mom was diagnosed with cancer,

right around the same time that my third divorce was final,

and I mean, I was a professional.

I was doing well professionally.

But my life was just miserable.

And I had three small children, even a son.

And I just did not want to continue like that.

And I remember saying just one night

in November, back in like 2012, God,

if You could do anything with my life,

I mean, I'm reading His Bible as best

as I can understand it because I don't really understand it.

But if You could do anything with me, God, I surrender.

And I think that was the key.

Just when you get to that place where

it's like, if you don't do this, I know it can't be done.

Yeah.

Just understanding the kind of surrender

that God honors is the process, don't you think?

I do.

I mean, it's one thing to say we surrender.

It's one thing to say I give it to You.

Sing it.

Yeah.

In choir, in church.

He just keeps saying over and over, more, more, more.

Yeah, I want more.

I want everything.

You know, and He begins to press you,

until you're like, for real, like, face on the floor,

no, I'm serious now.

If you don't do this, I cannot go on.

Tell me about your prayer line and how that started.

During that time, back in 2012,

after my third divorce, a few months

after, I was like, even though I was kind of ashamed,

everybody was making fun of me, like in my community

about me being just a failure basically, I was like, God,

I still desire a husband.

And I was like, if you're that God who answers prayer,

I want you to prove it in my life.

I want you to give me a husband, a real one.

Because I'm going to serve You for real now, like I'm serious.

And I want twins.

And if you'll do these things for me, I'll give you my life,

and I'll tell the world about this process

and how faithful You are and that You do answer prayer.

And that's what started the prayer line because I was up

anyway from 12:00 to 3:00 every night,

pacing the floor in prayer.

And like five ladies agreed to do this prayer line with me,

and that's how it started.

TERRY MEEUWSEN: And you found the husband.

Yeah.

You had the twins.

In one year's time.

TERRY MEEUWSEN: And so talk though about learning

to pray powerfully.

I begin to look up scriptures, internet search.

In that book you didn't really understand.

Yes, because I didn't understand it at that time.

A lot of people don't understand the Bible,

that it's God's beautiful love story to us,

that it's one whole big beautiful message.

So I began to Google scriptures.

And I began to pray the scriptures back.

And I know that was the Holy Spirit.

Even though I've been in church a long time,

but when I began to pray His Word back,

there was power in praying the word of God back to Him.

And slowly things began to change in my life.

That is a revelation that many people who

have found victory in their lives talk about,

the power of the Word, not just the Word of God

but the words we speak.

And you talk about that as well, you know, that we declare,

that we say.

His authority.

Based on what He says.

Yes like You said, God, You said,

you know, and if You said it, I believe it.

And just a lot of people speak negatively,

and all the negative things that I've spoken,

that happened, too.

And somewhere along the way, especially when God gave me

those twins, because I kept saying it,

and people, even my family was like, girl,

God is not going to give you twins.

I said, oh, yes, He is.

Yes, He is.

And He did it.

There are no twins in my family.

TERRY MEEUWSEN: Wow.

None, none, but I believed it with my whole heart.

TERRY MEEUWSEN: Well, and He wants to be known.

He wants us to know that when we pray wholeheartedly,

full out, that He does hear us.

You know, you're a mom.

You're a nurse practitioner.

You've got so much going on in your life.

You're so busy, but you have a message that's for everybody.

What do you say to Christians?

There are people who are watching and listening

right now, who feel like God is silent, like they're

praying at a stone wall.

What do you say to them?

Do not give up.

Sometimes it takes [INAUDIBLE].

It took David 22 years from the time

he was anointed, when Samuel anointed him,

to the time he took over all of Israel.

But he never got out of position.

He never complained, and he never

questioned God about what His will was for his life.

And I've learned, Joseph, same way.

To keep praying, and if you're physically able,

throw some fasting on top of those prayers,

and it will move the mountains in your life.

So I would just say, if you've been praying, I don't care,

five years, 10 years, seven days, one day, keep praying.

And as you continue to pray and get into God's presence,

your prayers will shift until they align with his will.

And then He will do even more than you can ask or think.

TERRY MEEUWSEN: Get serious about it.

Yes.
