Well, the great news in the world

that we live in and in your individual life

is that God is in control, and you're going

to see that in this next story.

In the span of a few weeks, Jennifer Polk

went from perfectly healthy to staring down death.

She had a small, orange-sized tumor

that was growing by her brain, and she

was told that it was incurable.

Still, Jennifer's faith never wavered

because she held on to a promise from God

and the prayers of her friends.

I just didn't feel well.

I couldn't put my finger on one area,

like my head hurt or my ankle-- it wasn't anything like that.

I just generally didn't feel well.

REPORTER: Jennifer Polk had experienced flu-like symptoms

for two weeks when her husband Irvin insisted

she see a doctor.

She was diagnosed with high blood pressure and given

medication, but the next day, nausea and a headache

sent her to the ER.

A few minutes later, the emergency room doctor comes

in and he goes, well, I'm going to do a chest X-ray and a head

CT scan just to see what we're looking at.

REPORTER: The scan showed swelling

on the right side of Jennifer's brain,

so her doctor ordered an MRI.

The MRI revealed a tumor the size of a small orange.

It went from I'm here for high blood pressure

ti it looks like you have some swelling to the neurosurgeon

saying you have a brain mass and we're going to surgery

this afternoon at 4:30.

It was that fast, in 45 minutes.

I threw a little mental fit, I guess,

and I had to get it together.

I had to pray to God, and ask him for some clarity,

some bring me together.

I still had to be there for my wife.

Mentally, you know, I had to get there,

and to do that, I had to have God.

I don't freak out about a lot of things, and I guess--

it was so funny because I absolutely,

positively knew it was going to be fine.

I was like, God's got this.

I knew deep down that He had it, and yes, I

guess it was just my faith, my defiant faith, that He had it.

REPORTER: Jennifer underwent surgery for 4 and 1/2 hours,

and a biopsy revealed that she had stage 3 brain cancer.

Because there was a 70% chance a tumor would regrow,

her doctors gave her four to six months to live.

They recommended chemo and radiation in an attempt

to extend her life.

A glioblastoma multiforme is a primary brain tumor

that his malignant-- it is cancerous.

It is usually considered not curable

even at early stage diagnosis.

REPORTER: Despite the dire prognosis,

Jennifer chose to trust God.

If you think my God who created this universe can't

whoop some puny old cancer cells,

I said, you got another thing coming.

He, like, raised Lazarus from the dead.

You think he can't take care of this?

Are you serious?

I will do chemo and radiation as a precaution.

That's the only reason I'm going to do it.

And I said, if those are the tools

that God has given me to beat this thing,

then that's what we're going to do.

I was frustrated.

I was really mad.

And that's when, you know, that feeling

came on me that I had to get close to God real fast

or everything was going to get out of control.

I had to get that clarity in my mind that he was in control

and he had it taken care of.

REPORTER: Jennifer stood firm in her belief

that God would heal her.

She endured chemo and radiation for the next few months

with Irvin by her side.

And about half way through the chemo, I had about three months

left.

And I looked at him and I said, I'm done.

I'm not doing it anymore.

I was just so tired of being sick.

And he was like, baby, you got to finish.

And I didn't want to because I was so tired of being sick.

And he was like, you got finish.

And I would, but it was awful.

It was horrible.

There was many days where we cried,

there were many days where we laughed,

and there were many days where we got angry,

but we got through those days together

and with the Lord's help.

REPORTER: Jennifer's faith was bolstered by the many people

praying for her.

My mom and my step dad at their church.

Everybody they knew was praying.

My whole, entire family was praying,

their churches were praying.

My Mary Kay family that I had been in for years at that point

was praying.

I mean, I had consultants and directors

all across the United States, all across the world,

praying for me.

The prayer chain was just overwhelming

because we'd get notifications that hey, you're

on our prayer chain.

It was all over the place.

REPORTER: One day while resting at home,

Jennifer was overcome by an assuring presence.

And all of a sudden, it just felt

like somebody had laid a big, thick, fluffy, warm blanket

on top of me, and just completely covered me with it.

It was, like, the warmest, most comfortable feeling.

And all of a sudden I was so thankful.

I can't describe it.

And I just knew at that point that it was God saying,

I've got you.

REPORTER: Jennifer completed the chemo and radiation

and has been cancer-free for seven years.

Lord brought her 100%.

And she was down, let me tell you.

And God has given me the joy of seeing

her beautiful face every day.

And I love her more and more every time I see it.

God was 100% part of Jennifer's healing.

A glioblastoma is a primary brain cancer

that can take people's lives, and for her to be here

seven years later is a true miracle.

I'm sure that everywhere I go people

get tired of hearing my story, but I mean,

I go to the nail salon and I tell people

that God healed me from a brain tumor.

It doesn't matter where I go.

I go to the bakery, I tell people.

I mean, everywhere I go I feel like I'm still here

for a reason, and I think that reason

is to tell people that He is still on the throne

and He is still working miracles,

and I'm sitting here today because He does.

And Jennifer, I don't think anybody ever gets

tired of hearing your story.

I think we all need to be reinforced

with the knowledge every day that the God who

created the universe can handle whatever our needs might be.

And that's why we want to pray for you right now,

and we've got some other answers to prayer.

PAT ROBERTSON: Go ahead.

This is Roy who lives in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Suddenly felt a severe pain in his upper back.

It was slightly below the neck between both of his shoulders.

He said the pain was a 10 out of 10.

Had trouble lying down and sleeping.

He watches this program faithfully.

One day we were praying, and Pat, he

heard you say you have a neck and shoulder injury.

It's catching and it's very painful.

Roy felt a warm radiating from his head to his back.

It felt like a warm liquid flowing through his body.

He said immediately the pain was gone.

Roy has been healed.

You know, Terry, isn't that amazing?

TERRY MEEUWSEN: It is amazing.

That a word goes forth from a TV program, and somebody

in Kenosha, Wisconsin that we never saw in our lives

feels like a warmth going through him.

Well, this person that lives-- Sara-- in Wellman, Iowa.

Suffered from pain in her upper thigh for nearly a year.

She was in therapy.

It didn't help any.

And one day she was watching this program, and Terry,

you said this-- you have a pulling in the upper thigh.

Every time you walk, you have a problem with the muscles.

Stand up and the pain will be gone.

And Sara in Wellman, Iowa claimed the word.

The pain went away-- has no pain at all.

Now, ladies and gentlemen, I'm here

to tell you God created the heavens and the Earth.

Heaven is his throne, the Earth is his foot stool.

There's nothing impossible with God.

As we begin this year, why do you want to have pain?

why?

Do you want to suffer?

Why do you want to?

Well, you say, well, I don't want to, I want to be healed.

Well, why don't you take the words

of these people who have received something

from the Lord?

Now, Terry and I are going to join hands together.

We're going to pray together for you.

And if you'll pray with us, God Almighty, who hears and answers

prayers, is going to touch you.

Father, I take the hand of my dear sister in Christ,

and we pray and take the hand symbolically of thousands,

or perhaps hundreds of thousands--

maybe even millions-- of people around the world

who'd be watching this program.

Let the anointing power of the Holy Spirit come upon them

right now.

Now look, there's a great presence

that's been on the lives of some of you.

You felt it-- despondency and despair and fear.

In the name of Jesus, we bind Satan's power over you

and we speak the word of faith.

Be free.

Someone else-- you've discovered, like,

a lump underneath your armpit, and you're so fearful of what

it.

It is benign and it's going to go away on its own.

You do not have cancer.

Just be set free from that spirit of fear.

And somebody else, you have, like, a stiffness in your back.

It's almost like there's a rod up and down your back,

and God is healing that for you.

Just get up and begin to twist and turn where

you couldn't do it before.

You're going to find yourself free in Jesus' name.

You have a swelling in your abdomen.

It's a tumor.

You hadn't been diagnosed, but that's what it is.

Put your hand on your abdomen right now.

In the name of Jesus, surely receive

a healing in Jesus' name.

Touch.

Be made whole.

Terry, one more.

Somebody else-- I believe that you're having trouble with

a relationship in your life.

It's not your marriage, but it's something that's

very deep, very hurtful to you.

God's going to heal that relationship as you open up

your heart, let go of the bitterness and the anger,

and forgive.

Just received that from the Lord today in Jesus' name.

And may the blessing of the Lord to extend to this nation,

extend to Israel, extend to God's people.

May this be a glorious year.

We speak the word that we will see miracles in Jesus' name.
