And they made fun
of how he talked.

who has ever had a cleft lip.

INTERPRETER: I always
wanted my lip to be fixed.
NARRATOR: But Muda is brave and
knows that staying in school
is vital to his future,
no matter how he looks
or how the cleft palate
affects his speech.
[NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
INTERPRETER: I love
learning our language,
but I want to speak clearly.
I even want to speak in front

INTERPRETER: I heard that CBN
was doing cleft lip surgeries
for free.
All I needed to do
was sign Muda up.
NARRATOR: So [INAUDIBLE]
brought his son to the hospital,
and CBN set up the surgery.
Today, [INAUDIBLE] can't get
over the change in his son.
