Bring It On-Line: Asking for Forgiveness - April 25, 2016

Do I need to pray each night for forgiveness of my sins? When 1/3 of the angels fell out of heaven, where did they go? Do you think God might consider any of that money, from taxes, tithing since some of it goes towards welfare? Read Transcript

Well, we have some time left to bring it

on with your email questions.

And Pat, here's a viewer who says when I pray at night,

I find myself asking God to forgive me for all my sins.

Do I need to pray each night for forgiveness of my sins,

or was that taken care of when I became a born-again believer?

And is there a right way to pray.

Well, first of all, John Wesley is a great man.

He said there wasn't a day that went by that he didn't plead

the blood of Jesus Christ.

The Bible says as we walk in the light, as he is in the light,

we have fellowship with one another,

and the blood of Jesus Christ, his son, continuously-- it's

Greek present tense-- continuously

cleanses us from all sin.

And so as we we're walking in the light,

we're continuously being cleansed of all sin.

But here, a great man like Wesley,

he said every day, I plead the blood of Jesus Christ.

So it doesn't hurt.

When he says is there a right way to pray,

I guess that would be the right way.

Well, the right way to pray is-- I just

want to tell everybody, look, the father is in the world.

He's in you.

He's inside of you.

If you know him, he-- Jesus said I will come and make

my home with you.

And so the right way to pray-- it's like,

how do you deal with the air?

You're in the middle of it.

And God is a spirit, and they that

worship him worship in spirit and in truth.

And so our spirits need to be right with God.

If we hate people, if we're full of slander and jealousy

and resentment, we've broken the contact with God.

But if we are forgiving and we're

trying to be like him in the world,

then we have fellowship with him.

And prayer is just talk to him.

You're praying all the time.

The Bible says pray without ceasing.

This is Melissa, who says I would sincerely like to know

when 1/3 of the angels fell out of heaven, where did they go?

Did they turn into demons, or are they

flying around Earth possessing people and causing

them problems?

Well, all of the above.

The Bible says that the old dragon

brought 1/3 of the angels.

They revolted against God.

And I think they are the demons that are in the Earth.

And do they try to possess people?

The answer is yes.

Do they try to deceive people?

Yes.

That's why the prayer is Satan I bind you

and the forces of evil, and I command

you to do the following.

But yes, they're out there, and they are subject to the lord.

That Gadarene Demoniac had about 1,000 of them.

He had a legion of demons, and Jesus cast them out

into the pigs.

So they're there, yes.

All right.

One last question.

This is Kathy, who says, as you know,

the working people of America pay at least 10% of their money

to the government and don't have a choice.

They take it out of our paycheck.

Do you think God might consider any of that money tithing,

since some of it goes toward welfare?

No, he wouldn't.

It goes to--

In a nugget.

Barack Obama's buddies in the government.

I don't think that's a holy cause.

Yeah, some of it goes to welfare,

but that's not a tithe.

No way.

I'm sorry.

Your taxes are your taxes.

Well, tomorrow, he was a star on the football field

and then one of the halls in the halls of Congress.

We'll sit down with former representative JC

Watt, a famous football player and a great man of God.

We leave you with today's Power Minute from second Corinthians.

The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty

through god for the pulling down of strongholds.

See you tomorrow.

Bye bye.
