Well we got some questions.
We have some great
questions today.
Let's start with Teresa.
She says, since my husband and
I have chosen to follow Christ,
many trials have appeared.
Our daughter has had a lot
of emotional challenges,
our marriage has been tested,
our faith has been tested.
All this plus financial issues.
Before finding Christ,
our marriage was rocky,
but we have been doing great
until the last two months.
Why is this happening
now after we finally
got our marriage on track?
With all the stress, I am
now fighting previous alcohol
addictions that I
thought were gone.
Please help me understand
what's happening!
All right.
First of all, the devil
doesn't want to hurt you
as long as you belong to him.
When the time comes
he will destroy you.
But up to now, he wants
you to be happy with him.
So you've moved
into another realm.
And you've moved to the
allegiance of Jesus.
And the devil wants
to get you back.
And he wants to give you
trouble for doing it.
Now, in aviation
there is a barrier.
We used to call it
the sound barrier,
where you get to
a point of speed
and this is an invisible barrier
that you have to break through.
And so the plane has to go
through that sound barrier.
And when it does, it's buffeted.
It shakes.
And then all of a
sudden it goes through.
And then everything
is smooth and good.
That's the way it
is when you move
into the things of the Lord.
It will be a little rocky
until you get through it.
But stay with it.
And you obviously had
some addiction problems
along the way.
So you need to hold steady.
And know that God
will be with you.
And he will not suffer
you to be tempted
above what you are able.
But will make with the
temptation a way of escape.
But stay with it.
And the closer you get to
the Lord, the more and more
of these insecurities
and these troubles.
Use your mouth and
bind Satan's power.
Speak the word and
say, I bind you and I
forbid you and the forces
of evil to hurt me.
Do that.
All right.
What's next?
That's good.
All right.
Virginia says, I've heard
about this chip that is going
to be put in people in 2017.
Is this for real because
it's kind of scary?
I don't want that chip in me.
I'm a Christian, and
if you take that,
are you taking the
Mark of the Beast?
Please tell me about it.
I'll tell you,
there's so much junk
that goes around that
people claim is prophecy
and it's just nonsense.
I don't know anything
about a chip in 2017.
They do have implants that are
available to identify people.
And they can tattoo on
your hand and so forth.
So the technology exists.
But some kind of a mandate--
no way that I've heard of.
All right.
Yeah.
I haven't heard of that, either.
Thank goodness.
All right.
Marie says, I was
told that as long
as you do not denounce
the Holy Spirit that you
will go to heaven in
spite of your lifestyle.
There are no scriptures to
validate this, are there?
Not any that I have ever read.
No way.
There's only one thing
that gets you to heaven.
And that is the grace of
the Lord Jesus Christ.
By grace we are saved.
Through faith, and
not of ourselves.
It is a gift of God.
There's only one thing-- is
believe in the Lord Jesus
Christ.
Isn't that what Paul said?
Believe in the Lord Jesus
Christ and you shall be saved.
Believe in the
Lord Jesus Christ.
That's it.
Not denounce the Holy Spirit.
Where do people come
up with this stuff?
It's not in the Bible.
All right.
All right.
David says, are we still
under the Ten Commandments?
I know what the Bible
says about if you obey
the Lord's commandments,
He will love you in return.
But the Bible also
says that if you
break one of the commandments,
you are guilty of all.
Good question.
Look, we're not under the law.
We're under grace.
We're under the graces
of different things.
And all those dietary rules
and things in the Old Testament
do not apply to those
who come to the Lord.
But there are certain
foundational principles.
I did a book on the
Ten Commandments
showing why it
applies to us today.
It is very wise.
All those things about being
obedient to your parents,
and not coveting somebody's
possessions, and all that.
And don't murder people.
I mean, that is
foundational in our law.
We have laws against murder.
We have laws against kidnapping.
We have laws against
bearing false witness.
It's built into the warp
and woof of the way we live.
So you say, well I'm
not under that law.
Well in a sense, you
are, because it's
the moral law of the universe.
And we're all under that.
