TIME TO "BRING IT ON."
THIS FIRST ONE COMES FROM
JULIE: "WHAT SHOULD I DO IF
MY NON-BELIEVE HUSBAND
REFUSES TO SUPPORT ME OR
HELP OUT WITH THE BILLS.
NO CHILDREN.
MARRIED 26 YEARS.
IF I DIVORCE FINANCIALLY, IT
WILL RUIN ME.
I'LL LOSE HALF OF EVERYTHING
I WORKED FOR MY ENTIRE LIFE,
PLUS MY PENSION AND I.R.A.,
AND BE FORCED TO PAY SPOUSAL
SUPPORT, BUT I DON'T WANT TO
CONTINUE LIVING IN SIN.
PLEASE HELP."
Pat: WELL, FIRST OF
ALL, YOU'RE MARRIED TO HIM,
SO I DON'T UNDERSTAND
"LIVING IN SIN."
Terry: WELL, SHE HAS
BEEN ENABLING HIM --
Pat: BUT THAT IS NOT
LIVING HIM IN SIN.
FIRST, YOU OUGHT TO TALK TO
A LAWYER.
YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT GIVING
HIM SPOUSAL SUPPORT -- WHAT
KIND OF A BUM IS HIM?
YOU'RE GOING TO SUPPORT
HIM?
COME ON.
THIS GUY IS GOING TO FREE
LOAD ON YOU AND YOU'RE GOING
TO SUPPORT HIM?
GET A LAWYER TO GIVE YOU
YOUR RIGHTS AND TELL YOU
WHERE YOU ARE.
THERE IS NOTHING IN THE
BIBLE WHO SAYS YOU HAVE TO
CONTINUE -- IF A MAN WON'T
TAKE CARE OF HIS OWN, HE IS
WORSE THAN AN I INFIDEL.
I THINK BEFORE THE LORD, YOU
ARE FREE, BUT FREE TO DO
WHAT IS WISE.
IN THE MULTITUDE OF
COUNSELLORS, THERE IS
WISDOM.
SO GET SOME GOOD KGTV
COUNSEL, GODLY COUNSEL.
Terry: THIS ONE
SAYS, "I LOVE READING THE
PSALMS.
I REMEMBER A LONG TIME BACK
YOU SAID IT IS ABOUT
ISRAEL.
CAN'T WE RELATE IT TO WHAT
IS HAPPENING IN TODAY'S
WORLD AND PRAY THAT WAY.
A DEAR FRIEND OF MINE IS
GOING THROUGH A HARD TIME
BECAUSE OF HER HUSBAND'S
FAMILY, AND WHEN I SEND
PASSAGES FROM PSALMS, IT
REALLY HELPS HER.
IS THE WHOLE BOOK OF PSALMS
FOR TODAY OR NOT?"
Pat: THERE ARE ETERNAL
TRUTHS THAT APPLY TO
EVERYBODY ALL THE TIME.
I PICKED THAT UP IN ISAIAH.
AND I SAID THIS IS OLD
TESTAMENT, AND THIS IS NEW
TESTAMENT, AND I SAID WAIT A
MINUTE, I'M GOING TO GUIDE
YOU CONTINUOUSLY, I'M GOING
TO MAKE YOU LIKE A WATERED
GARDEN, AND I'M GOING TO DO
ALL OF THOSE THINGS FOR
YOU.
I SAID, I WANT THAT.
THOSE BLESSINGS OF GOD ARE
BEYOND THE OLD TESTAMENT OR
NEW.
THERE ARE CERTAIN THINGS IN
THE BIBLE CLEARLY INTENDED
FOR ISRAEL.
AND CERTAINLY FOR THOSE
UNDER THE NEW COVENANT,
UNDER THE NEW TESTAMENT.
BUT THE GREAT TRUTHS OF THE
BIBLE, I TAKE THEM FROM ME.
THE 103 PSALM, "BLESS HIS
HOLY NAME WHO FORGIVES ALL
SIN AND INIQUITIES."
LAY HOLD OF THE TRUTH.
IT'S THERE.
USE IT AND BE BLESSED BY
IT.
Terry: THIS IS A VIEWER
WHO SAYS, "A GOOD FRIEND OF
OURS LIVES WITH HER PARENTS
AFTER A DIVORCE.
SHE PAYS ROOM AND BOARD,
HALF OF THE WATER BILL, HER
OWN INSURANCE, HER OWN
PHONE, AND HER OWN FOOD.
WHEN HER PARENTS BUY THEIR
GRANDCHILD SOMETHING THAT
WAS NOT ASKED FOR, THEY
EXPECT HER TO PAY THE MONEY
BACK, AND THEY CHOSE TO BUY
IT ON THEIR OWN.
SHOULD SHE HAVE TO PAY THEM
BACK FOR THINGS SHE DIDN'T
ASK THEM TO GET.
SHE FEELS THE EXTRA IS A
GIFT.
BUT WHEN SHE IS STRUGGLING
AS HARD AS SHE IS, IT IS
HARD."
Pat: I HEAR THESE
QUESTIONS, AND I SAY, WHAT
PLANET ARE YOU LIVING ON?
THAT IS OUTRAGEOUS.
I AM A GRANDFATHER, AND WHEN
I GIVE PRESENTS TO MY
GRANDCHILDREN, I SURE DON'T
EXPECT THEIR PARENTS TO PAY
ME BACK.
GIFTS ARE GIFTS.
NOW, LISTEN, IN A SITUATION
LIKE THAT, THAT LADY NEEDS
TO TELL MOM AND DAD, NOW,
LISTEN, I'M GLAD THAT YOU
LOVE YOUR GRANDCHILDREN.
AND I'M DELIGHTED WITH
THAT.
BUT DO NOT GIVE THEM
ANYTHING THAT YOU EXPECT ME
TO PAY YOU BACK FOR.
AND PUT IT IN WRITING.
SAY, I WILL NOT REIMBURSE
YOUR GIFT MONEY.
JUST SAY IT.
LET THEM KNOW THAT.
DON'T COME ASKING ME TO PAY
FOR THINGS.
THE GRANDKIDS THINK GRANDMA
AND GRANDDADDY ARE GIVING IT
TO THEM AND THEY DON'T KNOW
THAT MOTHER AND DAD ARE
PAYING THE BILLS.
Terry: SO MANY OF THESE
FAMILY THINGS ARE
COMMUNICATION,
COMMUNICATION,
COMMUNICATION.
Pat: IT IS MORE THAN
THAT.
IT'S WEIRDNESS!
