THE GOVERNMENT IS TRYING TO
REGULATE THE INTERNET, AND
NOT EVERYBODY LIKES THE
IDEA.
THAT'S WHY THE F.C.C. IS
GOING TO COURT TO DEFEND
THEIR NEW RULES.
OPPONENTS SAY IT IS YET
ANOTHER BIG GOVERNMENT POWER
GRAB, AND THEY'RE FIGHTING
BACK.
PAUL STRAND HAS MORE.
Reporter: IT'S CALLED
NET NEUTRALITY.
AND POSSIBLY DO THINGS LIKE
GIVE PRIORITY TO SOME
WEBSITES OR SIGNALS OVER
OTHERS.
GIGI'S ADVOCACY GROUP IS
PUSHING THAT NEUTRALITY
BECAUSE --
THE BIG CONTENT
PROVIDERS, BIG HOLLYWOOD
STUDIOS, BIG NETWORKS, WILL
BE ABLE TO PAY FOR THEIR
WEBSITES TO COME UP FASTER,
FOR THEIR VIDEOS TO HAVE
HIGHER QUALITY OF SERVICE.
AND THE REST OF US WILL BE
LEFT IN THE SLOW LANE.
Reporter: BUT
OPPONENTS, INCLUDING MANY
CONSERVATIVES, SAY THE NET
IS WORKING JUST FIND.
THEY WORRY NET NEUTRALITY
CAN TURN INTO HEAVY
GOVERNMENT CONTROL, RUINING
THE WILD FRONTIER.
MOST AMERICANS THINK THAT
THE GOVERNMENT DOESN'T WORK
SO HOT, AND THE INTERNET
DOES.
SO WHY ARE WE PUTTING THE
GOVERNMENT IN CONTROL.
WE'RE TRYING TO SAY NO.
LET IT FLURRY RISH WITHOUT
GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS.
Reporter: SETON MOTLEY
FEARS OBAMA CARE.
MOTLEY SAYS THE MAIN PUSHER
IS MARK.
HE SET UP NET NEUTRALITY
TO DIVEST THEM FROM
CONTROL.
WHAT HE WANTS TO DO, AS WE
SAID, DRIVE OUT ALL OF THE
MONEY AND HAVE GOVERNMENT
REPLACE IT.
Reporter: BOTH CONGRESS
AND THE COURTS TOLD THE
F.C.C. IT CAN'T REGULATE THE
INTERNET, BUT THAT DIDN'T
STOP IT.
HE BELIEVES THIS IS ACTUALLY
WORSE THAN OBAMA CARE.
THIS
IS A WORSE POWER
GRAB THAN OBAMA CARE.
AT LEAST THE HOUSE AND
SENATE VOTED ON OBAMA CARE
AND PASSED IT AND THE
PRESIDENT SIGNED IT.
OBAMA CARE FOR THE
INTERNET IS OVERWROUGHT.
WHEN THERE IS NO -- WHEN
THERE IS A CORPORATE
GATEKEEPER DECIDING WHO GETS
TO SEND WHAT MESSAGE AND TO
WHOM AND WHO GETS IT FASTER
AND SLOWER, THAT COULD ALLOW
AMAZING THINGS TO HAPPEN.
Reporter: MOTLEY WARNS
A HEAVY HANDED GOVERNMENT
WILL RUIN THE INTERNET.
NET NEUTRALITY IS
SOCIALISM FOR THE INTERNET.
IT ENSURES EVERYBODY EQUAL
AMOUNTS OF EVERYTHING.
IF YOU WANT TO DOWNLOAD A
GUY'S M.R.I. WHILE HE IS
DYING...
Reporter: PAUL STRAND,
CBN NEWS, WASHINGTON.
Gordon: DEPENDING ON
WHICH SIDE YOU ARE ON THIS
DEBATE, YOU EITHER VIEW IT
AS A GOVERNMENT POWER GRAB
AND LEGISLATION WHERE THERE
IS NO NEED FOR LEGISLATION.
ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE
COIN, YOU HAVE PEOPLE WHO
SAY WHAT IS GOING TO PREVENT
A CABLE PROVIDER SAYING WE
ARE NOT GOING TO GIVE YOU
ACCESS TO THIS BECAUSE IT
CUTS OR PROFIT MARGIN.
WE HAVE ALREADY SEEN IT BY
T-MOBILE IN GERMANY WHERE
THEY BLOCKED ACCESS TO SKYPE
BECAUSE SKYPE WAS CUTTING
INTO THEIR LONG DISTANCE
FEE.
THIS IS GOING TO THE
COURTS.
AND ON THE LEFT THEY'RE
SAYING THERE IS NOT ENOUGH
REGULATION, AND THEY'RE
SUING FOR EVEN MORE.
ON THE RIGHT, THEY'RE
BLOCKING IT ON THE BASIS
THAT CONGRESS HAS NOT GIVEN
THE F.C.C. POWER TO REGULATE
THIS.
SO IT IS GOING TO BE UP TO,
YET AGAIN, THE COURT SYSTEM
TO DECIDE WHERE WE GO WITH
THIS.
THERE IS SOME POTENTIAL
RELIEF FOR CONSUMERS THAT IF
THESE RULES DO GO THROUGH,
IS IT THEN STILL LEGAL FOR
YOUR CABLE COMPANY OR YOUR
INTERNET PROVIDER TO CHARGE
TIERS FOR FASTER SERVICE.
IF YOU PAY MORE, DO YOU GET
FASTER BAND WIDTH.
THAT MAY BE OPEN TO QUESTION
AT THE REST OF THE DAY.
LEE WEBB HAS THE REST OF THE
TOP STORIES.
Reporter: GORDON,

YOUR TYPICAL ROAD SHOW AND
IT WON'T FIT IN MOST HOMES.
KEITH GOODSON HAS CREATED A
GIANT OIL ON CANVAS
MASTERPIECE TO INSPIRE US TO
THINK ANEW
ABOUT THE BIRTH
OF CHRIST.
IF YOU EXPERIENCE A
MURAL, YOU'RE EXPERIENCING
SOMETHING LARGER THAN
YOURSELF.
YOU BECOME PART OF THE
PAINTING, IF YOU WOULD.
Reporter: A TEAM OF
VOLUNTEERS HELPED TO RAISE
THE MURAL SLOWLY AND
GENTLY.
ONCE IN PLACE, THEY STAND
AND TAKE IN THE PAINTING
THAT COMPELS FROM SO MANY
DIFFERENT ANGLES.
IT STARTS WITH THE PROPHET
ISAIAH.
HE IS LOOKING INTO THIS
PROPHETIC VISION, AND HE IS
SEEING HOW PEOPLE T FROM
ALL GENERATIONS, ALL
CULTURES, ARE COMING TO THIS
ONE MOMENT IN TIME WHERE THE
BIRTH IS BEING VIEWED.
Reporter: GOODSON
PAINTED JOSEPH IN THE
CENTER.
HE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO LOOKS
STRAIGHT AT YOU FROM
WHEREVER YOU STAND.
HE IS HOLDING OUT AN OIL
LAMP, AND HE IS OFFERING IT
TO YOU, AND SAYING, HERE,
TAKE.
Reporter: GOODSON NAMED
HIS WORK "LIGHT OF THE
LIFE," IN THE HOPES THAT ALL
WILL BE DRAWN TO THE LIGHT.
Reporter: I GOT A
CHANCE TO SEE THAT PIECE OF
ART AND IT IS BEAUTIFUL.
THE ST. LOUIS CARDINALS
RALLIED NOT ONCE, BUT
TWEEZE.
TWICE.
THE CARDINALS WERE DOWN TO
THEIR LAST STRIKE WHEN DAVID
FREESE HIT THE BALL TO TIE
THE GAME.
LANCE BERK MAMAN ANSWERED
WITH A GAME-TYING SINGLE,
AND THAT SET THE STAGE FOR
FREESE TO HIT A LEADOFF
HOMERUN IN THE 11th.
FREESE
IS FROM
THE ST. LOUIS
AREA, AND NOW HE IS THE HOME
TOWN HERO.
GAME SEVEN OF THE WORLD
SERIES IN ST. LOUIS
TONIGHT.
A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE SAYING
IT REMINDED THEM OF GAME SIX
OF THE '75 SERIES, CARLTON
FISK HITTING THAT
GAME-WINNING HOMERUN.
I THINK A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE
PREDICTING THE CARDINALS
WILL WIN GAME SEVEN.
Gordon: WE'LL SEE.
I THOUGHT THE GAME WAS OVER
WHEN JOSH HAMILTON HIT HIS
HOMERUN, BUT I STAYED UP FOR
THE END.

PERFORMING ILLEGAL LATE-TERM
ABORTIONS AND KILLING BABIES
THAT HAD BEEN BORN ALIVE.

NOW THE FOCUS IS TURNING TO
WHAT WE CAN DO FOR THOSE WHO
HAVE SURVIVED AND WHO ARE
LIVING IN CAMPS ALL OVER THE
AREA HERE.
